    97 wins basically starting 4 rookies most of yr. 2 Strop garbage pitches away from best record in baseball. Pumped for Wed, been a long 7 yr wait!

    It is a god damn shame that 2 of MLB's best 3 teams will be guaranteed NOT to play in an LCS.

    Completely disagree.
    They have one of the youngest and most talented teams in baseball with one of the best farm systems. They should be a playoff team for years to come. Smooth out some of the "rough edges" and the Cubs could be the best team in baseball!

    Same. Hope we have a long post season this yr but i didnt expect to be there this yr. I expected .500. Nothings guaranteed but i like the position we are in. My number 1 offseason priority would be signing David Price.

    But we are talking about the cubs..100+ year drought..they have had the best farm system before on paper..You are correct that they "should be" in the playoffs for years to come..but I'm sorry my friend it doesn't work that way with cubs. We have not had such a dominate 2nd half pitcher since sutcliff in 84 and have never had a number 2 like Lester ever. Things happen.. Players leave..we have the team to do it now!! Lets get it done!

    I'm not gonna lie, I want it this year! Fuck the waiting. Nothing is guaranteed. It was just two seasons ago the Nationals looked like the team of the future...

    If that was the case, why didn't the other division winner beat up on their bottom feeders?

    I don't normally get too excited for non- Cards games, but I'm pretty hyped for the game tonight. Not sure who to pull for....I think the Pirates have a better chance against StL, but a a close Cuns/Cards series would give me disgustingly shredded fingernails.

    Yeah. Brewers, Reds, the rest of the NL (including 5-2 vs the Giants) and some AL teams, too. Also, you spelled Cubs wrong, c before b, but I fixed that for ya. :wink:
