Castro got HOT last year, the last 3-4 weeks of his season. Then an injury put him down.
He has gotten HOT again this year. The last 3 weeks or so, he is hitting the ball with authority.

I like seeing castro hit well. I've always been a fan. I know he has a lazy streak, but I'd like to see the cubs keep him.


If the cards keep up this pace, they will be in the wild card game.

Anthony Rizzo is quickly turning into one of my favorite cubs of all time. He may top Sandberg if he stay with them his entire career.

I don't think he should be mvp. Bryce harper will be the mvp unless he goes into a historic slump the rest of the way. Rizzo should and will receive votes based on the weather the cubs make the playoffs. Which is looking more and more likely.

Harper still leads the league in 3 of 4 major hitting categories. I think nationally, he's more known than rizzo. Which ultimately will lead to him getting the mvp. Even if rizzo is more deserving.

Harper is having a phenomenal year, so it's hard to argue against him. But when I think of the true meaning of MVP, Rizzo means more to the Cubs this season than Harper does to the Nats.

MLB should have 2 awards, MVP and Player of the Year.

Then you can't forget about Cespedes for the mets. Since the trade, they have went from 2 games behind the Nats to 8 games up.
