You guys just love to hate on Matheny. Ya know what you sound like? Cardinal fans.

Seems like a good guy off the field but goddamn, I wish he'd have a little fun. He's got that pissed off Larussa attitude all the time. At least Tony knew to have fun at times and had his quirks. It's hard to argue with Matheny's success, but his style is gonna wear thin sooner than later, especially with some of the younger guys.

I love the pissed off, poker/mystery face. It is like TLR for sure. I've met both guys in person a few times and they're regular guys for sure. Very down to earth and friendly. TLR is a pretty funny guy too. You wouldn't know it just watching him coach baseball, but both of em' are good dudes. Kind of like Eddie Vedder. He's got that persona about him, or did. All piss and vinegar running through his veins. My perception of Ed changed in 08' when I saw him on his solo tour. Guy is fucking hilarious and way more laid back than I'd ever really imagined.

Wrigley Field DJ fired for playing "Smack My Bitch Up" by The Prodigy after Aroldis Chapman's appearance yesterday.

Just fucking great. Glad the team nipped it in the bud as soon as they did, but the last thing we need is a pissed off closer when the rest of the bullpen sucks fucking donkey balls.

Yeah, I read that earlier today. Dumbass. You have a great job getting to go to every single cubs game for free. All you have to do is not do something that stupid.

President Kenney already had what I assume was an even shorter visit with the guy.

I'd rather burn Cahill in game one than use two of our regular starting rotation in the same day and have someone not be ready to start this weekend on the road. Could it be a long day for the bullpen? Possibly, but I like the call.

I'd rather see an actual AAA starter get the call up and see what he's got. I already know cahill provides nothing.

Well, Cahill through 4. 2 hits, no runs. Color me surprised.....although we are up against what classifies as the brewers B squad.

Yep, and they had a pretty good rotation too. Took Jeff Suppan in his twilight years post-glory days.

I definitely remember the run they were going to go on, with that awesome farm system they had. At least, according to their fans. I think they traded half of it away for CC.

I'm fine with what they are doing today. Perhaps partially due to the fact he has gone 4 scoreless so far.

Yeah, I loved that comment by him..... Since he was traded away when it was completely apparent what we were doing as an organization at the time. Sent him to a playoff team, and that was his response. Fitting he's with the brewers now.
