There was a technical issue with the online sale of this item which we are actively working to resolve. Please hang tight as we sort it out. If there is an issue with your particular order, we will communicate with you through email. Thank you for your continued patience and support.0

Yeah this basically confirms what we've all been thinking. I imagine most orders will be cancelled and the print run will be 50-75.0
-
Should give everyone $100 off and print the orders they took
Or
Conduct a lottery of all who ordered against the actual planned print0 -
And then, those who don't get one in the lottery should get a chance to purchase the normal edition. Then I think no one could complain.pdalowsky said:Should give everyone $100 off and print the orders they took

I like this idea. I'm not as necessarily concerned with how rare the poster is/print run. I just think the gold is cool and would pop nicely when hung on the wall.pdalowsky said:Should give everyone $100 off and print the orders they took

Well I guess I'm not getting a gold now...0

Me either I don't think. High order number. I am really hopeful they do the right thing here and don't just send a "Dear John, you're screwed" email. Should at least allow us to purchase a regular or something like that.tempo_n_groove said:Well I guess I'm not getting a gold now...

Well at least people know they actually made a mistake, instead of marketing it as a "handful" available and there were 300 bought. That would be deceitful. It's going to suck for those who get their order cancelled but hopefully they do the right thing with the scarcity of it in comparison to the other 2 options that cost less.0

But that would mess with the people who bought a limited edition of 130 if they suddenly upped the print run of the regular AP, right?fixer123 said:

That was my thoughts. This would screw up all the print runs. I'd say offer a non-AP/show version of the print for the $35-50 or whatever the cost, and refund the rest of the money.on2legs said:

They would have to run the printing presses again. They would have to call it another alternate version. Maybe a Version 2 name.themessenger said:

In the end Ames wins because they sold a ton of posters...

In the end Ames will win because they can do whatever the hell they want, kind of like the 10c, and people will still buy it.0
-
yes bottom line more prints sold likely. I doubt they did this on purpose.. but id guess the end result will be a handful (20-30) of Gold will get distributed.tempo_n_groove said:

confirmed orders of gold outside the handful will get the opportunity to purchase an additional variant type for a dollar amount lesser than the $250.
If they were really cool and concerned about their integrity and business practices anyone with a confirmed order that doesnt get a gold edition should get a print for the shipping cost only.
See what happens.
IF NOTHING IS EVERYTHING, I'LL HAVE IT ALL.

Just got an email, they will honour all of them and give extra proceeds to Vitalogy Foundation."Born on third, thinks he got a triple."0
-
I got the same email. They need to tell us how many were ordered and then give people the option to either keep the purchase or refund the money.0
-
Damn, they really should give people the option to cancel then if they want. PJ collectors are big into limited items, you cant say eh, a handful, then ah maybe a hundred plus.Pittsburgh, PA September 28, 2005 || Washington, DC June 22, 2008 || Barstow, VA May 13, 2010 || Seattle, WA August 10, 2018 || Dana Point, CA September 29, 2018 (EV) || Dana Point, CA September 28, 2019 (EV) || Dana Point, CA September 25, 2021 (EV) || Dana Point, CA October 1, 2021 || Dana Point, CA October 2, 2021 || Chicago, IL August 29, 2024 || Pittsburgh, PA May 16, 2025 || Pittsburgh, PA May 18, 20250

If they had tried to sell anything for $250 that was effectively not limited then nobody would have purchased them. OK, so some money - and we will never know how much - goes to charity, which is great, but I feel like I have been ripped off unless they actually state the number of golds that were sold at that the number is less than any of the other versions.0
