eh I don't know.
It's no different than being on AMT. Some people respond to others some don't.
He doesn't have time for media generated crap just like the public doesn't so he avoids it and only says what he wants when he wants.
Tough titties if people don't like it.

Pretty hard to argue when such a reputable source as the New York Times quotes a Canadian.
Last line in particular.

take your beefs to the middle east.
This is a Canadian politics thread.0 -
Canadian Politics is involved. I will say this and never broach the subject again...
Our biggest allies gave land to the Jewish people after the atrocities of WWII. They gave them what they believed was their "Holy Land". Many Jews in Europe were displaced and had no nation of their own.
The U.S. and the UK set this up, with the understanding the UK WOULD KEEP A LID ON THINGS IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
Things went fine here for about 20 years, as the U.S. Talked the Saudis into selling their oil in U.S. Dollars with the promise to protect them from Israel the Saudis agreed and in turn, convinced all the other OPEC nations to only sell their oil in U.S. Dollars. It became the standard currency of the world as oil was changing the way the world lived.
In the middle of this, the Shah of Iran was a friend to the UK and U.S. One day the UK decided they did not want to police the gulf anymore and pulled out, leaving Iran in charge, around 1967.
In the meantime, countries who did not have their own oil supply, like Japan, had to either convert their currency to US dollars,to buy oil, or create goods and sell them to the U.S. To buy oil. I think we know how that plays out, with the influx of Japanese electronics and cars, etc.
So Iran is running the show with a friendly leadership to the west, and the OPEC nations are becoming rich with oil reserves, and the U.S. Is happy because they can print money at will, due to the demand for oil and in turn, the demand for the U.S. Greenback.
All goes well until late 1979, when a new Shah is in power in Iran, one which is not playing by the rules. They are backed by Communist USSR and the U.S. Is forced to begin to attempt to control the area. The 7 Years War between USSR-backed Iran and the U.S.-backed Iraq begins.
Saddam Hussein had been jealous of the power and prestige of Iran and wanted to attack for ever, but new it was a suicide mission with the old Iranian regime. Now with the support of the U.S. He could gain control over the gulf region.
The war accomplished little, and left Hussein broke and desperate. Thus the attack on Kuwait in 1992 (I think that was the year). Of course the U.S. couldn't allow this kind of unrest and had to defend their ally in Kuwait.
So what does this have to do with Israel? Well, when they created Israel they did so with the understanding they would protect her from the other Middle Eastern nations. Canada is a part of they.
Also, if oil is someday traded in another currency (happening between China and Russia by some accounts) then the U.S. Dollar will plummet. So much US currency is available, and if it not needed to buy oil, it becomes worthless. They created a system to print money at will.
If the U.S. Greenback tumbles into this, Canada will surely follow.
We must protect Israel and keep a lid on things in the Middle East, the economic repercussions will. Be enormous. Now you know, the trouble In the Middle East is not "religious and goes back thousands of years", it goes back to about 1947.

Scripted or not this is well spoken and true.
It's a 2min caption about refugees and the stance of Canada.
It is true that Canada already announced we will be taking in more refugees yearly before this newest "crisis" was in the news.
The humanitarian assistance part is bang on.

Wasting more tax dollars to appeal to their shrinking base. When will these asshats learn that they are way out of bounds with our constitution. How many times have they been offside now?
Niqab ruling to be appealed to Supreme Court, Tories say
Conservatives vow to reintroduce niqab ruling within 100 days of re-election

I certainly fucking hope it gets appealed in less than 100 days of their re-election.dignin said:Wasting more tax dollars to appeal to their shrinking base. When will these asshats learn that they are way out of bounds with our constitution. How many times have they been offside now?

Could you imagine the suffragettes who fought so hard for women's rights here and what they would think as we allow foreigners to move to this country and try to take women back to the dark ages?
These women cover their faces because their husbands will beat the shit out of them if they don't. It's not religious, it's bullshit.0 -
The only reason Mulcair is still in the race is because Canada dismisses trudeau.
trudeau talks like chretien his lips move but no one understands what he says.
Harper was only sweating during the debate tonight because of the studio spotlights.

edit - I will throw the barb in there that trudeaus pothead brain is unclear and muddled. He can't even talk straight when he is not under the influence.Post edited by PJfanwillneverleave1 on0 -

Old stock Canadians - There is nothing wrong with that phrase.
In fact it's kind of catchy.
They are not Canadians until sworn in.Post edited by PJfanwillneverleave1 on0 -

"It's part of the deliberate strategy to sort Harper's constituency from the rest of the electorate," Graves told CBC Montreal's Daybreak. "It creates a sense of us versus others."
Graves describes Harper's comment as a "dog whistle": something meant to be heard by a target audience, but misheard or ignored by the rest.0 -
^^^^
"dog whistle", that is a great analogy.
It lets the people that voted for his majority know that he is staying the course.
This is an election, you need to speak to your core voters.
That is what he did.
No one ignored his comments - it's all over the news.
The only people that misheard him are perhaps the ones who are a little less proud of this country.
