    Why is it at a "black" church. Nothing else is labeled black. Not schools, not hospitals, not jobs. So the majority of churches are "white" churches?

    The title should read "9 dead in church shooting" simple as that.

    Well, AME stands for African Methodist Episcopal. They are self-identified as black churches. From their website: " It rejected the negative theological interpretations which rendered persons of African descent second class citizens. Theirs was a theological declaration that God is God all the time and for every body. The church was born in protest against slavery – against dehumanization of African people, brought to the American continent as labor."

    Right. Hope I didn't imply that. They certainly aren't exclusionary. They were created to be inclusive of everyone and not use religious dogma to reinforce racial bias.
