That is only half the story and why I didn't support the law. What about the people who did come and get naturalized and will get stopped everyday by the cops. No papers on you at that time = 48 hour detention. Something must be done but that was a short sighted solution. AZ wanted to do its own border patrol and got told no by the Feds as they said it is their job not AZ's. AZ wants to start actually deporting people again and got told no by the Feds. One of the problem we now have all these kids who were raised here, went to school here and are american. What do you do with them when their parents get deported? A solution needs to be found but that was not the answer. I live in this shit, got in a car accident with an illegal with no insurance who gave a fake name and skipped out as if nothing happened. Change must happen but not based on discrimination to those who did it the right way. I know many people from mexico here legally that work their tale off. They deserve the same rights as you or I.
I do understand your frustration WH. I felt the same way for many years after we moved here. It took a while before I released people have the right intentions but the plans they want to inact set back all peoples civil rights in the end. What comes next is you look gay so we will discriminate. Now we don't like muslims so we get to do laws and discriminate. The real solution is to lock down the border and let the right people in the right way. Feds dont want that though. Plus PJ boycotted us on the backspacer tour over it. I do agree with you WH on a couple of your points. I do think there needs to be a process that deports these illegals when they are caught. But firing warning shots at people? Seriously?
