    Believe me I know. When I lived in the outer edge of Palm Desert we had one, and it stripped the paint off of one side of my car, and clouded all the windows! We were stuck in the barn shelter with the horses for two dags. It threw rocks through windows, and into cars.. It was nuts!

    Where did you line outside palm springs. I lived in Yucca Valley for almost 2 years in the late 90's.

    Our last Haboob was no big deal. We get sand storms weekly in the summer. The Haboob was just a glorified big sand storm. Very, very windy and sandy yes, but it got serious air time on national news. Wasn't that bad.

    This was in ohhhh 95?? It was outside of Indio/ Palm Springs area, called LaQuinta. We were at -25ft- below sea level! It was insane! And that storm was pretty intense!

    Last week, a couple of young men came into my work and a female coworker was liking what she was seeing.
