I seriously doubt they would put together a package that they are selling for less than $50 in the shop. I'm confident that 10C knows how not to completely rip us off in this deal.

I can't help but think it's going to be pretty random and folk need to go into this with their eyes open and know there is a chance to 'lose' .... Not all packages are gonna be worth $50 ... But there in lies the gamble.

I don't for a minute think that could be considered ripping us off

I actually like this idea. Lottery selection of sorts. Setup definitely favors the east coast for RSD (West coast RSD fans will most likely be in line or in stores) and people who don't work weekends.

That being said I think its awesome they are doing this. Maybe i'll luck out at work and be able to get through, but have restricted internet access and phones aren't permitted during work hours.

Fortunately my RSD is opening @ 8am, so if I walk into work @ 9am with the White Stripes GBMS I'll be content, no matter what happens later in the day.

Sending us a black Backspacer ($15 on this site) and a 2011 holiday single ($10 on this site) together for $50? I would definitely consider that ripping us off, which is why I don't think they'd do something like that.
It's not THAT many items. I'm sure they'll probably take the time to make sure this kind of scenario doesn't happen.

PJ_Soul , I'm sure you're probably right but we don't know for sure. Anyways, I will probably do this and take the gamble instead of spending $50ish dollars at my local store on RSD, likely on something I would never listen to anyways.

Will you trade your Beneroya for my black Lightning Bolt and Fixer 7" if that happens?

Lol, seriously? Why do people continually give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm not saying they will do that, but why wouldn't they? They're in the business of making money and made no promises that what you get is going to be worth $50. Call me a skeptic, but I can already see the forum when people start receiving these. You really think there will be no bitching and everyone will get a box that's "fair?" Lol. Let's hope, but it's a crapshoot, that's what makes it fun.

lol that would take up so much manpower I highly doubt it. Addiotional Note: The order history only goes back to when they updated the website. I can't see any of my olders prior to the website upgrade. I imagine it's not easy to reconcile with that database anymore.

It's pretty easy to reconcile if the fans take it upon themselves to start a thread listing which Benny numbers went to which 10C member. lol

I'm not getting all the complaints about getting something worth less than $50. First of all, if you get of the limited slots, it will be in itself a miracle. Second, it is called a "Mystery" sale for a reason.

Yes, but it's not called a random mystery box. I don't think "Mystery" = "blatantly raw deal". It just means we don't know exactly what we're going to get.
I just figure 10C is more considerate than to put two items that are available in the store for $25 together in these packages. I could be wrong. And I'm not complaining. I just give them more credit than that.

I just go onto the website at 9:58am PST on the 10th of each month and don't even check my email.... Much more reliable and predictable! No need to rely on the email hitting your inbox.

Excellent words of advice here. I don't even bother with the newsletter.
