I'm happy their getting press but Evil Urges and Circuital were good albums and MMJ have had amazing tours within the past 10 years. I don't see this album as a "rebound" at all.
Agree. I liked EU more than Circuital.

Agreed. Evil Urges is fucking awesome. I think they are getting better with age.

Haven't listened to the leak...not sure I will.

EU has some really fantastic songs it it also has a bunch of songs that are kinda meh. So as a whole it's not exactly one of their strongest from start to finish but I do agree it's underrated.

MMJ is in my top 3 favorite bands ever and I'm having a hard time getting into this one. Maybe it'll be a grower but I usually love their records right away.

Yeah i think it's gonna be a grower for me to. Didn't really feel it too much the first time listening. Although I really dug a few songs which I mentioned. Listening again to it now.

I think they've always been a great live band but many longtime fans (myself included) were underwhelmed by EU and Circuital. I prefer everything pre-EU to those 2 albums.
I'm trying to avoid listening to the leak because I want to listen to the album front to back when I get the physical copy.

i look at eu and curcuital as them growing as a band and not being afraid to experiment with different things. the fact that, to me, the results were so awesome just speaks to how great this band is.

man, this is a very good "album". Everything makes sense together. Can't wait to dig in more in May. Trying not to overdo it now but really want to

Took one listen and enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Very mellow to me, and some spots seem too close to Jim's solo stuff, lacking a lot of the band's punch in my opinion. But I'm excited to give it some more spins

I think it's lacking the punch intentionally on the recording. Seems like its meant to be heard live for that. Kind of like two different experiences
