I want to make sure I understand correctly: because a few people suggested a 3 day build up towards an announcement should mean something bigger than one month of South American shows, said people 'don't value South American fans' and are selfish and entitled.

    Do I have that right?

You know, we could all just wait until they make the announcement tomorrow instead of arguing over it... just sayin'...

Not that I'm one of those people, but we're just holding out hope for nearby shows. It's always good when PJ is playing live shows anywhere in the world, but it really does nothing for me if they are on a different continent, or 2 states over for that matter.

They are the only 2-star rated airline in North America after being downgraded in 2012, and from what I've read their service is nothing better than horrendous. I think they hit you with outrageous baggage fees too. Just a little head's up.

I'm with ya, if it gets me from A to B safely, then cheapest is best. Check Southwest out, too... they just made their maiden trip to San Jose last week. And (up to 2) bags fly free!

Thank God you're here. Until now I had no idea how little I value the South American fanbase.

This forum and the world in general are now a better place.

I just flew Spirit from Detroit to Myrtle Beach, flying home tomorrow. Non-stop flight was only 150 round trip, and the plane was a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be. The part that pissed me off was the baggage. They don't allow a carry-on (except for a purse or small backpack) unless you pay for it, like $35 each way. Checked bags are $50 each way, with a 40 pound limit. So my wife and I packed everything into 1 suitcase and checked it, and of course it was 48 pounds, and I had to pay another $25 on the way here, and will have to on the way home. So $150 per ticket round trip, but another $150 for our luggage. But a great deal if you can fit everything into a backpack or even pay the $70 for a carry-on suitcase.

You also have to pay extra to choose your seat. So if you want to guarantee that you sit by your wife, that's extra. We didn't pay, and luckily were placed next to each other.

All that said, I'll probably never fly Spirit again, I like Delta a lot, and have a lot of Frequent Flyer miles with them. Southwest is cool too, bags fly free.

I feel like the band is hyping this a little too much for only ten shows in South America 7 months from now
