question though... did the super deluxe Vault Lazaretto come with a book of liner notes inside the sleeve or did they just send the special book? If so I didn't get the liner notes back on the replacement copy.

Can someone save me from searching the thread to tell me if there is a digital download for this?

I was expecting it from the USB, but just pics and wallpapers...

    Thanks.

No, there isn't one as far as I can tell. :( I thought it was on the memory stick too. I mean, why wouldn't they have done that? Does it make too much sense? :-/ .... Perhaps it's some kind of 'down with digital music' statement??

I think you hit the nail right on the head. The vault seems to be all about vinyl and not about digital music. I don't think I have ever received a download link for any of the vaults, but I have for other third man LP bought in the store.

Yeah it's a shame that is no digital file. I too expected it to be on the USB stick.

It's quite surprising that there is no digital file/download link - picked up copies of The White Stripes "White Blood Cells" and "Elephant" in the last week and both had download cards, as did Blunderbuss and Lazaretto.

Pretty sure TMR has posted a few times they won't be putting out digital files for vault releases, or at least have no plans to. They have not done it for any of the prior vault releases.

I also thought that no digital files for vault releases made it harder to 'share' making the vault 'more special'.

I agree with this but then why make the newest DW songs available on itunes?

My guess is its because those songs are going to be on the new record later this year

I just thought they'd wait until the album is released.

I'm in again. This might match the Bonnaroo set, for me. GBMS is my favorite album of their and sounds like a pretty cool setting for the dvd.
