    Next vault is a three record set of Jimi Hendrix jams.
    @brianlux

    I love Jimi and simply due to luck of age and place, I had the great fortune to see the Jimi Henrix Experience twice.  And although I do have a lot of Hendrix LPs (24) and Hendrix tribute LPs (6), and several CDs, I'm actually a tiny bit ashamed to admit that, and I have pretty much sworn off buying any more Jimi vinyl (in fact, I recently sold my 2 LP vinyl copy of Valleys of Neptune).
    Discogs lists 122 Hendrix albums and 417 Hendrix compilations, and 834 unofficial records.  The man himself only approved of 4 of his albums for release and he would be appalled by all of the plethora of material that has been put out since his death.  I just can't see dishonoring the man any further by indulging in more of the posthumous output.
    So if these jams are really great recording, please don't tell me, lol.  I'd rather remain clueless!

    wow. I knew there was a lot, but had no idea it was that much. that's insane.

    Crazy, for sure!
     Jimi was both one of the most imaginative, ground breaking guitarists ever, but he also was and is one of the most exploited artists ever.  It's no wonder he was so confused and depressed so much of the last part of his life.
    I always think about the part in Patti Smiths book Just Kids.  She was at Electric Ladyland studios' opening (the things she got to witness and shear luck of being in these places is amazing.) and was outside away from the hubub and out walks Jimi.  He wasn't fond of the people inside either.  Neat moment of insight to his life.

    Yeah, I had forgotten about that.  Great book!
