I find that looking at videos of simulated super-volcanoes blowing up is counterproductive to getting to sleep.

Yep, sleeping shit over here with me at the moment too. I know what it i. It's since I started a new job just under 2 months ago. I wake up most days at 4am'ish & can't get back to sleep coz I'm freaking out, listing in my head the things I need to get done. Had a meltdown at work today, well actually, I kind of think anyone would after the boss said the following to me this morning: "don't come near me right now I'm really angry you've fucked this up for me". She had an important meeting I'd been organising for the last few weeks & the IT fucked up.

Anyway, yep, I have the little blue pills, find they work fine for me, don't leave me groggy & tonight will be the 3rd one I've taken this week. I always try & only have 1 per week max but fuck it this week!

Otherwise I always have some calcium & magnesium pills beside my bed & have one of them when I wake in the night. They haven't been working for me recently though. :-/

Wish me good sleep tonight!! photo prayer-hands-smiley-emoticon_zpsb85fce7c.gif

It's normal with sleeping problems when starting a new job. :) I've had it too.
That was too bad you had a rough start but maybe it will lead to something good. Maybe you could ask your boss (when it's a good moment for it) how you can do it better next time and write things down so you have something concrete to work with, or ask a good, nice colleague.
Try to go to bed early so you have more time to sleep on.
Don't be too hard on yourself it will be al right and sleep well :)

I find that alcohol helps me sleep.

I find it keeps me awake. Lately I've been waking up a few hours before I want to and can't get back to sleep. Stupid brain.

I've got to be up in 2 hours. There's pretty much no point in continuing to try at this point right?

    #teamnosleep indeed.

Not gonna happen apparently. So I'm watching the Multi-cam PJ Vancouver 2013 show via chromecast on the TV. :) Chromecast is a wonderful thing btw. :-bd

i've never understood how chromecast works. I assume it's connected to your wifi network? I just ran a wire between my PC and TV. and then I got another one for my laptop which I only use as needed.

You just stick the chromecast into the back of your TV and keep it there, and yes, it connects through your wifi, then connects to everything via your phone. No wires, no computer required. Just press a button and voila. And you can still use your phone for everything at the same time. I don't even own a computer. Just a smartphone.

there's something wrong with my connection. It's not stable. I need to talk to my isp but I'd rather deal with internet that disconnects every 5 seconds than actually deal with them.
