    justam i think there must be many reasons for choosing and i do think it is projecting to see them all as "evil"
    did it ever occur to you that a man may want a sexual encounter free from the fear of rejection? Or perhaps free from performance anxiety? Did it ever occur to you that someone with incredibly low self-esteem might feel incapable of the monumental task of finding someone to love? Sex can be about companionship even if it is paid for, who are you to say that a man doesn't care if he is pleasing a hooker, that is one of many big assumptions.
    I feel like many of the anti-legalization folks are thinking only of the lowly street walkers and their nasty johns. Maybe thats just me projecting...seems though that nobody is considering that just because money is involved, doesnt mean there cant be respect.

    You could be right, and I could be wrong. I don't know! I'm certainly not an expert on this topic, but since I'm a professor I have the tendency to talk like one when involved in discussions.

    I know. That's the point. Prostitution still exists because the customers want MORE than just a hole to fuck and the release of sexual tension. They want a human being yet they don't want to have to treat the prostitute as an equal human being.





    perhaps, but I would also think many are incapable of the emotional attachment that goes with it consensual (free) sex between adults.

    But do you really think that the prostitute gets treated equal?
    I'm sure in most cases no. And I think that is a symptom of prostitution being illegal. Once legal and regulated we can begin to fix these problems. I think we all have to leave our morality at the door here and do what's best for the people involved in the sex trade. Because prostitution is not going away.

    I've been hit on by hookers a few times at casinos and I'll tell they looked pretty bad, it seems the drive to support thier habbits throws thier morals out the window but on the other hand I have met women that hook for a living with no habbits just a way to survive and they were good with it and they make good money for what they do either way it's not my business or place to judge thier trade but it seems dangerous to me for many reasons.

    I got hit on once by a very handsome dude who looked a little like Lou Rawls. All I could do was blush a little and say, "Sorry, man, thanks anyway." He was driving a very sharp looking Mercedes, had a twenty in his hand, crisp suit, Rolex watch, the works. I was a 20-something kid heading down town to look for temp work but that just wasn't what I had in mind. :)

    If the couple split the bill and enjoyed the food drinks and entertainment together, then YES (even though money has been spent) this is still what I would consider "free" sex. The people would be going into the experience with mutual desire. No one is being paid to agree to the act.

    You so realize prostitute determines how much she's paid right? She determines services rendered.

    Going on date and man paying is not same as buying a hooker. It's courtship something entirely different.

    Why are you addressing this question to me? I'm not the one who asked whether a date is considered free sex. That was rr165892. Ask him or her.

    I'm no expert on hookers.

    I just expressed a few opinions in this thread (based upon my own reasoning!) and now people are jumping on me for expressing my opinion. :p

    But, feel free to pile on. I don't mind an argument!

    Properly? What do you mean by that?

    I suggested the splitting of the check to avoid someone saying that "If the man always pays the bill, then he's paying for sex." You know someone would be a smart-ass and say that!!

    Also, for most modern women, paying half the bill is not a big deal. Unless the couple are only just starting to go out, it's pretty common wouldn't you say?
