Thank you....it was not a phone.

Oh I forgot to add I'm seeing him Monday too. Both GA concerts. Saw him twice last year and he puts on a great show with his "front man cap".

You have to be a little sneaky...you cant just go barging in there with the thing around your neck and a huge lens that looks like it doesn't belong on it...the Nex doesn't look like a huge dslr, that helps. I usually put the kit lens on, tape over the lens release button and, if questioned, I say "I just got this thing, it was only $300 and I hope I get one good pic."

I also carry a photo of a pro DSLR, like the one in the link above, usually with an hooded up 80-200 2.8 lens attached to the front of it in my pocket, just in case.

Great advice! I've updated it for my case (http://camerasize.com/compare/#488,1) ... And yes, the telephoto advantage of using less than full frame is pretty great. I use an RX100 which is a great little pocketable camera with a 1" chip and a fairly bright lens (28-100mm equivalent, f1.8-4.9), so that'll be a safe backup for if things don't work out.the tiki bomb said:You have to be a little sneaky...you cant just go barging in there with the thing around your neck and a huge lens that looks like it doesn't belong on it...the Nex doesn't look like a huge dslr, that helps. As far as the eagle eyed yellow shirts at the door, the mini DSLR shape with the eyepiece on top will not help.
This isn't a bad alternative either as far as not getting stopped at the door

less than 400 dollars for the body (the finder is extra, but helpful) not as much reach, just 90mm equivalent but a wide option at 24mm equivalent, AND a f1.4 AF Leica lensPost edited by ikiT onBristow 05132010 to Amsterdam 2 061320180 -

The most important thing about a show is the sound. The show could have been memorable except the sound ruined it a bit. Question, bad venue or bad sound guy?0

I'm right there with you! Whether it was the real high or the music-induced high, I'm not too sure, but I'm also not too sure that I cared!smarchee said:holy shit, what a show in Toronto tonight

Beck and Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger - who were also a superb performance - guided us all through an eccentric, psychedelic, hip-hop, funk, electronic, folk, dance music inspired evening that could really be summed up in three letters: FUN. To see a classy joint like the Sony Centre all on our feet dancing (though Beck having been subject to a bit of a knee injury he was a bit less dance-y than usual), it was very clear that there was just something in the air. To talk about the show song by song seems silly, because it all amounted to a diverse and unique experience that I would say was probably loved by all. What I will say is that, to a large degree, the reason we all had fun is because the musicians on the stage had fun. That much was entirely undeniable: these are people who absolutely love what they do, and it shows. Can't wait 'til the next one - if it were tonight, I'd be right there!'05 - TO, '06 - TO 1, '08 - NYC 1 & 2, '09 - TO, Chi 1 & 2, '10 - Buffalo, NYC 1 & 2, '11 - TO 1 & 2, Hamilton, '13 - Buffalo, Brooklyn 1 & 2, '15 - Global Citizen, '16 - TO 1 & 2, Chi 2

No Sean Lennon in Detroit last night so Beck did 2 sets. First was a 10 song acoustic and then a full electric set after. Finally got something from "Mutations" (Dead Melodies). He is lighting it up this tour.Post edited by Heisenberg on0
