I recently picked up the Pink Sea Change LP. The one with the big sticker stating limited to 1000 yet my number on the back is higher than 1000, what's that all about. Anyone else have this?

Good album. It starts out strong but fades toward the end, imo. Still very enjoyable and probably one of the few new albums I will buy this year.

Walls, Volcano, the First track and the song with the lines about seas full people are brilliant on Modern Guilt. My other favourites are Hollow Log, WhiskeyClone, Hotwax and most of One Foot in the Grave.

It sounds like Sea Change to me, so I think Bon Iver copied Beck's sound

could be. The only Beck I know is Loser and Midnight Vultures. I guess I should listen to some of his other stuff.

Give Sea Change a chance. Its like the new album but even better. His best work IMO.

I like Beck quite a bit, and do like Sea Change just fine, but I'm actually not understanding all of the super duper enthusiastic admiration for the new album I'm reading about. I think it's kind of blaaahhh for Beck. I wish I were picking up on what everyone else is. :-??

Would really love to see Beck live though. Never have yet. L-)

Pj soul. It's not for everyone for sure. First listen it didn't grab me either but late one night when I felt like something mellow and put it on again. I really liked it. Then with each listen it got better. I now love it.

I might give it another try or two... But I've already listened to it 3 times and it hasn't improved from the first time, lol. I do always give albums that are getting a lot of attention from people I know have good taste in music a good chance to pull me in.... I'm not sure about this one, but you never know!

    tsk tsk, lol

I love it, I can understand though the lyrics are a little weak, but I love the lush melodies and production on the album. How can you not love Wave with the strings behind the song and Turn Away, the harmonies of the vocals are beautiful, all in all, I love this album

"Wave" is one of my favorite tracks this year. It's so isolated and just overwhelming with emotion.
I often wonder what he was going through when he wrote it.

The show was originally going to be an INDOOR show at The LC...but it sold out so fast, they moved it to the OUTDOOR stage at the venue!!
It was a GA show & ended up selling out outside too!!
It looked like it was gonna rain all night, but we got lucky & never got even a sprinkle during the show!

So cool! I have third row tickets in Toronto this Friday, very much looking forward to it. I've been to some shows in Toronto where they let the first few rows come up to the stage - hoping that's the case here too. In any case, should be a great time.
