Lost all four MIL & MOL! 192,xxx. This is total BS as people with 400,xxx can get tickets before I can. What the F is the point of being in the 10C for as long as I have? Sorry, but this system sucks after the Wrigley loss and now this.

Uhh, what would be the point of getting a membership at all now if only lower numbers got tix?? I doubt 10C wants to completely alienate 100,000 10C members across the board, give no reason for new members to sign up, and I also doubt that PJ wants to pack their 10C pit and seats with middle aged people, lol.

The point of you being a 10C member for as long as you have is that you've enjoyed being a member for 20+ years. Don't you think others ought to be able to enjoy it too?

Sorry, but this attitude that comes with not scoring tix where the demand exceeds supply by so much totally and completely floors me.... and kind of disgusts me, especially when people who have seen a ton of PJ shows over the years still think they ought to see yet more while newer members should not get to see any. Wtf.

That is what happens when this lottery thing happens... People pool together to increase the odds.

I know. It's a negative and unintended side effect.

Well. I lost all of mine. Only took more than 7 hours. Way better than f5.

I don't mind the lottery, but this time it sucked. Being shut out is never cool, but it is especially hard if it is finally a hometown show. If they would open the whole floor for fanclub GA, there would be so many more happy fans... It works in Europe, why not over here?

Lottery needs to go. Before the lottery shows like Memphis, Denver, St. Paul would have been available for hours and you wouldn't need F5 to get them. I think the same would apply now. F5 was a problem for NYC, Boston, Philly and Seattle.

I agree. Last time through the midwest... Buffalo Cleveland indy etc there was no stress. Certainly wasn't left anxious for 7 hours. Only time it took 7 hours was alpine pj20

F5 was a challenge everywhere at any given time. That being said, it was the devil we knew and could work through it.

I agree... and people's friends could be on the phone and abort a purchase if one party was successful. Here, people seem to have extra pairs to the same pools I lost out in.

I had a good track record on f5.

Am now 1/14 with the lottery.

I have a feeling a lot of people are juicing their chances with buddies and spouses etc which severely reduces my chances. Unfortunately those are the physics 10c has rolled out

F5 was a challenge everywhere at any given time. That being said, it was the devil we knew and could work through it.

I was all about F5 from 2003-2006 (when I was in college), but by the 2008 tour, it became nearly impossible to set aside a fucking Tuesday or Wednesday to sit in front of your computer for like 6 hours to get tix.

I like the lottery. It's fair. It just is. Having to know the ins and outs of how to work around server crashes in the F5 era wasn't fair to people that might be new and unaware of how to work around the server crashes.

Oh and enough of the seniority stuff. People complaining that they have low tenclub numbers and got shut out while someone with a 400XXX got them. Hey, the person with the 400XXX pays their tenclub dues too. Again, it's fair.

I've gotten tickets in both lotteries I have entered, but I preferred f5. Refreshing is stressful, but the tenacity usually pays off. I refreshed for 3 hours for a Soundgarden/NIN presale and eventually got tickets I was happy with. I personally prefer a level of strategy/dedication to pure luck of the draw.

What 10c could do, rather than show the odds of the shows based on all submissions, is base the odds on first priority submissions... That way, there would be more chance of people getting their first priority and winning a show at all, rather than have so many shutouts and multiple wins.

F5 and lottery are about the same. Just cause you had a low number didn't guarantee you tickets. A number in the 100's vs a number in the 500's had the same odds in the F5 system. If you want straight seniority then the post card was the way to go. I think this is best cause it gives everyone a fair shot. I've been doing this since high school (I'm 37 now) and I'm cool with spreading the love and letting the newer fans enjoy what we all enjoyed the past 23 years!!!! Relax people you can still get tickets and everyone will have a good time!!!!!

But then the 10C would have to pony up for legit servers (that won't crash) costing them precious $$$.

Eh, I always did too but nowadays it's harder to be at a computer for hours on a weekday. And frankly, I always felt kinda sorry for Tenclub noobs that signed on ticket sale days thinking "I'm going to get Pearl Jam tickets!" No you're not. You're going to have a long frustrating day. I was great during the F5 era. I was like 16 out of 17 doing it like that. But this is more fair for everybody. I think a 16-year-old that just got into the band this year has just as much a right to see them as someone like me that's seen them 27 times.
