when this 'new' board first went live, i voted 'its just ok'

i was trying to be positive and optimistic...hoping this board was still changing and evolving.

but its not...unfortunately.

i dont post much, but i just had to put my 2 cents out there.

i visit far less frequently, and dont stay for nearly as long.

i dont like this change :(

Bottom line is if 10c wanted rid of the forum then they would just shut it down. Plain and simple. I don't buy this theory that they've changed the forum look to get rid of people.

I'm not trying to cause conflict or dispute D's posts, just trying to inject some positivity. Sure the colour and the font are an issue but it really isn't that hard to navigate. Some of the new features are an improvement on the old forum so I'm still hoping that this is a work in progress.

Yeah, I don't quite get that myself. Yes, the new forum sucks (even with the recent improvements with the editing and the size of the font and the added location and birthday feature (although the bday feature isn't really useful until the birthdays of the current day are posted somewhere like before. We're not about to go into every member's profile to check whose bday it is today, right?). But I don't think it's SO bad that it should warrant not using the forum or even not renewing membership! That seems like an overreaction to me!

I think that theory is crazy sounding. Of COURSE they aren't trying to drive people away. That's ridiculous.

It actually is evolving. Improvements are slowly being made. No limit on editing now, location of members is showing again (just update it on your profile), font is bigger.... they are clearly working on it.

You bring up a good point. We can't change our vote here (I actually voted it's okay in the first place, so no probs there). I bet the results would be much less negative now than this poll reflects now that some changes have happened and we know they are working on it (although I still don't get the silence. If they'd simply said more about what they'd be able to change and that they were working on those specific things, people would have stopped complaining a long time ago.... 10C communication has been poor as usual). So really this poll no longer has any meaning. Now that you can edit it Dimitris, maybe add a new poll to gauge the current views!

I have two more thoughts about this new board.

First, the text is easy to read on my iPhone but difficult to see on the computer. I wonder why?

Second, the slightly darker background of the quoted text would be a great fix for the white background!! Just darken the background slightly like that and it'd be so much better!!

i need only 2 minutes for my eyes start hurting reading the forum,i lost my joy,a huge part of pm ,i cant control my profile page,the activity is a gossip side of the forum,thats the reason i hate facebook,i lost friend list,alot of friends i used to read and chat left cos of the change or come less here,the fact .i can edit my location,my post and my birthday means nothing to what i lost..
NO is my answer to this unessesary change.
i am member of the club,i support the club ,ill always renew my memebrship and this change doesnt has to do with my renew,cos most of all,i love the band ad their fans,but when i dont like something,i say NO..
and thats my answer to this change..especially for the lost data and the gossip facebooking shit..

Is anyone a member of other fan clubs? Im not so dont know what else i'd expect, but to me the 10C is fine. They announce shows, albums etc, thats all I care about. I honestly wouldnt expect a fan club website for a band to announce they plan on changing the website.
i know we all love the band and think they are the greatest thing in the history of the world ever, but in reality how big do we think the IT department is here. Its not ebay/amazon.
im not trying to put them down or annoy anyone, just trying to manage some peoples expectations.

not on other 'fan club' sites, but I am on other FREE message boards. One in particular is worse than this one-I actually stopped going there for over a year;went back after this one changed to compare layouts, and there are others that are more organized and well laid out than this one.

It's not clear if a non-paying member can post on here or not-but since you had to be a paying member to post i can see why people are upset.

My main issue was/is the white background. Though my eyes are somewhat adjusted to it now, it would be even better with just a tad darker background,like that 'Quote Grey'. And maybe in turn darken the quotes even more.

Yeah, I understand why you're unhappy Dimitris, and those are all very valid complaints (although I guess it's clear you're not getting your friends list or PMs back, so I'm not sure there is any point in holding onto that, since what's done is done. I totally fucking sucks it happened, but nothing to do now :( ). I'm just talking about the poll. I don't think it's a reflection of everyone's feelings at this point. I'm sure option 3 would still win, but definitely not even close to 71% of people would still say it was that bad.
They definitely do need to fix the fact that we can't delete posts from our own wall. That's just brutal. And yes, the colour has to change... at this point I keep expecting to see it change every time I come on, but still nothing....
