Awesome news!
Just trying to remember when my friends wedding is so it doesnt clash with the UK dates. Being best man not sure I could duck out the wedding early0 -
Chazz wrote:So which countries do you think will be easiest / cheapest to travel between? I won't be able to make the UK dates as I'm away :fp: :( but would like to do more than one show in Europe. I'm tempted to do Amsterdam as it looks like they could add another show, but i'm also thinking i should do the Wulhheide because everyone raves about it here
(but i can't do both). I suppose i'm thinking Vienna to Berlin or Berlin to Stockholm?
Any suggestions/feedback would be great, thanks
Berlin - Stockholm - Oslo is easy travel. Stockholm and Oslo are also in the weekend. Oslo and Stockholm aint cheap though, but travelling doesnt need to be that expensive.Post edited by Niko80 onI will swallow poison0 -

No Irish date which is strange, its the first stop of Europe wonder why they can't play. Looks like I'll not be seeing them to 2015Speaking as a child of the 90's0

What a bunch of hypocrites.
Accuse ticketmaster of over inflated ticket prices, then charge £75 per ticket for the Milton Keynes show.
They can get f&@ked.
Disappointed.0 -

Ridiculous man, even if they played an Irish show I would refuse to pay a price like that, that would translate to over 90 euroSpeaking as a child of the 90's0 -

stockholm to gdynia, PL would be fun - ferry ride and great/a lot cheaper than in Sweden stay.. plus one of the best festivals in Europe if you are keen in festivals, of course.._____________________________

Milton Keynes bowl has a capacity of 65,000.
Suppose they only fill 50% of the seats.
That's £4.8 million in ticket sales for one show.
This one is for the fans, yeah right.0 -

Yes, it's expensive. But don't forget that they were backed by some serious major label money in the 90s when the whole Ticketmaster thing was going down. Think about what it must cost for a US band to put together an European tour at some pretty big venues. Think of the cost of flights, the cost of haulage, flying all that gear over, road crew and tour personnel salaries, lighting rigs, sound equipment, putting up the stage (Milton Keynes specifically I guess), the cost of actually hiring the arenas in the first place.
Whether we enjoy parting with that sort of money or not (and I really don't!), £75 is about the going rate these days for most arena level bands.Leeds 2006, London 2007, Hartford 2008, London Shepherds Bush 2009, London O2 2009, Dublin 2010, London Hyde Park 2010, Amsterdam 1 2012, Amsterdam 2 2012, Berlin 1 2012, EV solo London 30/7/2012, Berlin 2014, Stockholm 2014, Milton Keynes 2014, Amsterdam 1 2018, London 1 2018, London 2 2018, EV solo Dublin 2019, London 1 2022, London 2 2022, New York City 2022

oh what to do? we're in ireland and it's our wedding in august so would love to avoid the cost of travelling to see them so am tempted to wait and see when they would announce more dates BUT don't want to miss out on 10c tickets, again! can anyone remember how soon after the announcement last time they announced more dates? i can't. knowing my luck we'd get tickets for amsterdam then they would announce belfast or dublin
also, i've never entered the draw for tickets, wonder what the success rate is like.
