Can't decide if I want to do this or not. Been staring at different tickets for like an hour right now. Already doing Worcester, Brooklyn 1&2, Hartford and Baltimore. Hmmmm, so indecisive.

Nice to see a lot of people heading to this show, was not sure how the turn out would be for the last two shows on the first leg.

Me too. I am hoping the crowds will be decent in both size and energy. The Bristow crowd in 2010 was very on and off. That has me slightly concerned about both NC and VA.

IIRC, Bristow was freezing cold (around 50F) by the time they came on, and the way that crap hole is shaped you can barely hear the crowd noise inside the pavilion.

It was very chilly that night. I didn't like the jiffy lube venue either. If it was my only option to see pj i would go again, but I'm so glad to be in a nice indoor arena with the John Paul jones. So excited.

10C Reserved 195xxx coming down from Fairfax. Question about parking as I notice you can buy a pass on TM($10+3.65 fees) for the lots around the arena. Can those be bought when we pull into the lot the day off? We will probably get down there around 2 to start tailgating in the lots if we can get in.

Booked our hotel for this show at the cavalier inn, looks like a very short walk. Looks like the other hotels within a short walk were sold out for the 29th...

Wife and I will be heading to Charlotte the next day, then back to Raleigh after the show. Should be a great 2 days, can't wait!
Cavalier Inn is perfect for this venue. About a 5 minute walk to the venue. There is an Econolodge right across the street from the venue, but it is an absolute shithole. We stayed at the Cavalier Inn when we saw DMB there in 2010.

FYI, if you or anyone in your group is military call to book your reservation at The Cavalier Inn. I just paid $115 total for 2 nights, vs the $185 that I came up with when I started to book online.

I got it for 90 with AAA on the 29th only. See ya there!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Got 7 seats in section 109 - gonna be fun, I love the venue.

Also for those coming in, I highly recommend the parking on Ticketmaster. It puts you in the garage next to the arena and its a pretty easy in/out after.
  • First time ever entering the lottery...got Brooklyn 2 and Charlottesville!
I'll be driving from Norfolk and look forward to seeing you all :D

Anyone know why the shows is scheduled to start at 8PM? All other shows I think are scheduled between 7 and 730. Seems strange. I wonder if no opener will be scheduled or if the time will change. If I remember the Bruce show, that went pretty late. He came on at about 830 and played until 1130 or so (with the house lights on though), with no opener. I don't believe curfew will be a concern fortunately.

I was wondering this myself. I have been to pretty much every venue in Charlottesville except this and didn't know what the curfew situation was. I'm all for no opening act and another State College-esque performance!

This will be the show to be at for the first leg, mark my words!
