Quite excited for a central Virginia show especially since Charlottesville has always attracted some top acts. Will be making the trip from Richmond and wanted to give the 10/29 folk a chance to communicate on plans for the show/travel logistics/pre show plans/etc...

Get ready Virginia, Pearl Jam is coming! (and not to Nissan Pavilion thankfully)

First time I've ever been excited about living in Charlottesville, JPJ is a sweet venue, can't wait to see the guys blow the roof off!
  • Can't wait to hopefully get chosen and attend this show! Charlotte isn't too far either from me. Where are you all from? Cburg/Virginia tech area here.
  • I can't believe this show is happening! Sure, big acts have come through Charlottesville before (Springsteen, U2, Arcade Fire, etc.), but I NEVER thought PJ would swing by just because of how scaled back their touring is.

    I'll be coming from Lynchburg!

I'm actually contemplating driving down from Detroit to see this show... it's really the only one within a reasonable driving distance I can do on the first leg (way too much work travel). I know it's a college town; is there anywhere to stay overnight within walking distance of the arena?

That's the plan... Hit up Baltimore and Charlottesville, fingers crossed. Both places less then a hundred miles away, that would be perfect..

there are a couple, Econo Lodge being the closest, a Budget Inn, and there's a Residence Inn that is less than a mile.

No prob. The benefit there is you could also stop by Buffalo Wild Wings, which is pretty much the closest bar.

P.S. Anyone coming, do yourself a goddamn favor and go to Bodos Bagels.

Formally living in Richmond, I really wish I could fly back out for this show and make it. The date and time just don't match up. I think this will be the dark horse show of the tour. Charlottesville in the middle of Fall at that time of year is absolutely beautiful.

    Enjoy it Virginia!

Very excited about this show. I have seen several shows there including Bruce and DMB several times. It is a nice venue and the most convenient for thise of us in Richmond. Nissan is the worst. Total nightmare.

    Maybe Richmond people/can/hook it up.

Now if only they would announce a surprise show at the National..best place in VA, followed by the 930.

I'm doing exact and thing. I live in Newport News and have Charlottesville as first choice and Baltimore as second. I'm expecting to get tickets to both.

I'll be there (hopefully). Funny that you mentioned the National ... I'm flying back from Wrigley on the 21st and going to see ZOSO that night. If you like Zeppelin, you should go. They are probably the best Zep cover band out there. Don't think we'll ever see PJ there, but I agree it would be phenomenal.
