The money is a by product but he loves the power. Intoxicated by it.

I agree with this to a degree...even after all the 9-10 guys in jail were murdered, Walt shows up at Hanks house to play with the baby - and he must've known Hank would be upset. I think he was just reveling in his accomplishment there...but then the big pile of money in the warehouse was suddenly enough... Then suddenly he claims he's done. There was no real power accomplishment there, aside form the huge stack of cash. The level of power didnt seem to change when Walt finally decides to get out (or maybe he is lying, I dunno?)..only the cash going from 5 mil to probably like 20-30 mil.
He told Hank that his cancer had been back for about a month now. Not sure how much time passed from when he got out and when Hank found the book on the crapper, but I''m guessing Walt didn't want to spend his possible last few months alive cooking meth. Besides, he was the king of meth and seemed genuinely bored with the business at the end of the first half of season five.

Jesse. I think he's trying to convince him to turn on Walt.

Right before he said that he said "I could be the man who caught him" I doubt he would say that to Jesse.

If you didn't like the last 5 minutes of last night's show you're not alive.

That was one of the most intense scenes in the show's history. Literally anything could happen at this point.

I want Walt to win and nothing to happen to Jesse. Realistically, the later is my only hope.

I thought last night was great but was slow in the middle.

Im not sure why he took the book in the first place though... doesn't seem like proper protocol, not to mention, it would have bought Hank some more time before Walt started suspecting that he was on to him.

To check the handwriting. If you all of a sudden thought your brother-in-law was a master criminal, you'd probably want to be as sure as you could too.

Anyone else think it's incredibly sad to see Jessie like this :(

Seeing his emotions when throwing the money, really was a tear jerker.

I don't think he will survive by the end of the series :(

    yah, i get that...
but now how is he supposed to prove that it came from Walt's house?

    We shall see.

Im still rooting for Walt too. Not sure why... I really hate him for killing off Mike, but I just want Skyler to keel over already. Maybe if I didnt hate her so much I could hate Walt more.

Yep, Jesse is a fucking mess. I don't think things are going to end well for him or Walt.

I'm really happy Badger is back. Jesse is on his emotional roller coaster.

Ok, so now I have watched 'Blood Money' 3 times since Sunday ( )and 3 really wacky (maybe important) things stand out to me:
1.Walt really does glean something from each person he 'offs' - the towel folded neatly/precisely before he upchucks in the bathroom - total Gus move...cutting the crusts off the bread like Crazy 8 early in the series, becoming more sinister like the hitmen he killed on Jesse's behalf, etc...So does the bacon foreshadowing in the Dennys (spelling out 52) in Episode 1 of 5A signal Skylar is gonna sleep with the fishes???

    2. Lydia. Lydia. Lydia. This is the same gal that tried to off Ermentrout when he didn't go along with her plan. Too weird of a scene at that car wash for this to be the end of her. She's pissed and now humilated. Most women I know that = an ugly combo and dangerous recipe.

    3. Hank has nobody to confide in about Walt = Heisenberg. His fellow DEA guys? They'll think he's a moron for having this under his nose the whole time. Illegal trace GPS of Walt. He could lose his job, right? He can only really confide in his wife. Does he go after Jesse, Skinny Pete or Badger?

Damn. Can't wait to see this season unfold. And in hindsight, as great as the end of 'Blood Money' was, the foreshadowing in the rundown White home on Blanco Arroyo was terrifyingly suspenseful... Between Heisenberg being spray-painted on the wall, to Holly's vent laying on the floor, and now he's got the ricin...wow.
    This show is amazing.
    UGGGHHHH IS IT SUNDAY YET????????????????????

Yeah I hate it when he's like this because A. He's my favorite character and it's never fun to see your favorite character like that and B. We don't get to hear any hilarious Jesse lines when he's depressed.
