I'm hoping for this one and Charlotte, a decent road trip in the fall. And a cheese shop in Cville? I'm in.

    must try the jalapeno cheddar.

    ;)

just to be clear, the cheese shop is in Stuarts Draft, 30 minutes from charlottesvile.
    it's well worth the drive.
especially on a beautiful autumn day.

We are jilted Denver fans who once again will be forced to travel to see Pearl Jam. We figure to add some sight seeing if we are going to the trouble, but weren't thrilled to see our options, since we had already visited the big cities. But the more I studied Charlottesville, the more attractive it seemed. We can see Jefferson's Monticello nearby, James Madison's home, and take some scenic drives. And then there is the actual parking lot featured in one of our favorite documentaries, "The Parking Lot".

I had planned on requesting Disabled Seating, but the seating chart showed those seats were pretty far away. My wife needs a wheelchair to get around, but can probably sit in the reserved section. i will enter the drawing for that. I wonder if we can specify we want off the floor? Prefer the side seats in the 100s so we aren't behind the people standing in GA.

Pretty stoked for a fall trip in VA, hope the weather is decent that time of year.

    In with reserved. :)
    8/4/00, 4/16/03, 10/6/04, 9/21/12, 10/29/13, 10/30/13, 10/12/14
  • Won GA pit - coming from Richmond too! First time seeing PJ so close to home. Kind of sad that Richmond is so much larger than Charlottesville yet can't draw PJ b/c the Coliseum is falling apart whereas John Paul Jones is nice and new.

  • The wife and I are coming in from Christiansburg, i.e. Virginia Tech area, and heading to Charlotte the day afterwards. Have reserved seats for both nights...should be killer show(s)!

Won both reserved seats for Charlottesville and Charlotte. Can't wait to be in a 10c section. This is my first time buying 10c tickets. I hope the crowds at both shows are as solid as I hope.

Oh man....I'm starting to think I should make this show my #1 priority over Baltimore. Flying into my Brother's in D.C. for these shows. As a Wisconsinite, I think it was the mention of the Cheese Shop that caught my attention.

I'm in. C'ville and Baltimore reserved

I'm in! Reserved seats and can't wait. First PJ show since 2010!
this city is so filthy, like my mind in ways
  • I'm super stoked I got GA for C-ville (was my first choice). I also put in for Brooklyn (both nights and both GA & Reserved), and same with Baltimore. Didn't get any of those. If I could have done it over, I would have made Charlotte my second choice, and then Baltimore 3rd choice since significant less competition for those. I def. rolled the dice on Brooklyn, but there's no doubt a special type of energy at those high profile shows. I just hope the crowd in VA can bring it so band gets excited. I remember at Nissan in 2010 Eddie was really having to coax the crowd to get some life into them. I'll play my part!!

Did you read Trip Advisor reviews for that place? I did and that's why I avoided it.
