Maybe Richmond people/can/hook it up.
Now if only they would announce a surprise show at the National..best place in VA, followed by the 930.
I'll be there (hopefully). Funny that you mentioned the National ... I'm flying back from Wrigley on the 21st and going to see ZOSO that night. If you like Zeppelin, you should go. They are probably the best Zep cover band out there. Don't think we'll ever see PJ there, but I agree it would be phenomenal.
I have seen zoso more than a few times including.the last two at the Nat. I will likely be there. My buddy says about them.. It is kind of like masturbation. It is not sex, but kind of the same.
I will be the guy outside sneaking.the one hitter.0 -
swing by The Cheese Shop while you're in charlottesville. all kinds of bulk snacks and goodies. very fresh.

Cheese Shop is Amazing!0

Would like to organize some sort of networking event here in Richmond since it is centrally located (and I'm selfish and live here) sometime before the show for people to get to meet each other, make travel plans, talk PJ etc... Any suggestions/input/help would be greatly appreciated.
I would suggest overnighters get on their travel accommodations as soon as they can. While there is certainly plenty more lodging than used to be in Charlottesville, you never know.0 -
This is on my list!!0

I'm all in for Baltimore and Charlottesville. I saw Arcade Fire there, at the pavilion a few years ago, so I'm looking forward to the JPJ center. So excited to be driving down from Martinsburg, WV for this on. That is if I win the lottery.0

Coming from Lynchburg as well. John Paul Jones Arena is a beautiful venue to see a show. I have been there to several basketball games, Chilli Peppers, Metallica, and Bruce. Always a treat to make the drive up 29 in the fall

Do you happen to have license plates that say "PJ FAN"? I feel like I know most of the big fans around town but I see that car from time to time and have no clue who it is.0 -
No, its not me. I haven't seen that car, but I'll be on the lookout from now onaspoonfulweighsaton wrote:BMF2004 wrote:Coming from Lynchburg as well. Oh well, I've had "P-JAM" on various vehicles for about 18 years so if you ever see that then it's me (or my wife)!0 -
Anyone know how many GAs spots are available per show?0
-
Technically, none of us are going anywhere yet, but I hope, hope, hope I get tickets to this show!
Driving down from the Fairfax area, maybe staying the night. If any other NOVA fans get in and you want to ride, be in touch.0 -
hopefully see you thereWouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?0

I'll be there coming from Midlothian, it will be the shortest drive to a show for me so far so no hotel room necessary. I can't wait should be a great show. Anybody been to JPJ Arena before? I know it's pretty new and have heard a lot of good things about it, I've seen it from the outside but have never been inside. Just curious.Columbia, MD 9-24-96, Virginia Beach, VA 9-7-1998, Virginia Beach, VA 8-3-2000, Virginia Beach, VA 6-17-2008, Bristow, VA 5-13-2010, Charlottesville, VA 10-29-20130

I am in. Coming to the show from Harrisonburg. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the GA lotto. I have been to 3 Pearl Jam shows, never with 10 club tickets, and I have always had to travel more than 2 hours to see a show. Here is to GA (front row!) and having Pearl Jam practically play in my back yard.Salt Lake City, Utah - Sept 28, 2009
East Troy, Wisconsin - Sept 3. 2011

Trying from Atlanta. Then hit Charlotte on the way home."Mark it 20, Dude."0

It's a fantastic venue. I could not be any happier. The coolest thing is that for the shows I've gone to, there are no barricades. People sit right up to the stage.
If you are interested in what it is like, here are two vids from two shows:
1st - 114 Row X, seats 1-2 to the far left http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsnIx-Gns0Q
2nd - 113 Row K seats in the middle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt6NK2mjspA
I don't think there will be a bad seat in the house.0 -
