Do I take wife to Wrigley PJ show?

I feel horrible in some respect, but the concerts that I've been to by myself have been better experiences than when I go with someone, wife included. She does like PJ and we've been to a handful of shows together, but how do I tell her I'd rather sell my 2nd ticket and let it all hang out than wonder why she isn't getting exactly why it's so cool they played XYZ song or whatever. I know, honesty is best, but how best to frame it so it doesn't sound like I don't want to share this special thing with her. Can't I just share the pics and memories? :?

    Well if honesty is best, sounds like more issues then a PJ show.

    Tell her you decided to take the money you wouldve spent for her ticket, drinks etc and hook her up with a massage,facial, pedicure, jewelry, etc for 7/19.

    Don't Take Her! My wife has a fear of crowds and just generally doesn't know how to relax, we've been to dozens of shows and i usually buy aisle seats so she'll have some space and be a little more comfortable, but the last two concerts i went to i went alone, and they were two of the greatest concerts i'll ever go to!!! MSG2 2010 and Foals Terminal 5 a couple of weeks ago. Not having to worry if she's o.k. and just as you say, letting it all hang out is So much more fun. How you're going to break it to her i don't know, mine was relieved when i told her i'll go alone!

    I totally hear you. Marriage is complicated sometimes. Just tell her like it is. She's been to pj shows and has seen what it is to be part of that so should have some understanding of the intensity of the emotion that goes with loving this band. If one doesn't share that one could feel left out even being there. Maybe she'd rather not go but is wondering how to tell you that she doesn't want to share in your special thing. Just talk it out and then plan a weekend together doing something you both enjoy. You aren't rejecting her just don't want her lack of enthusiasm to squish yours.

    Think long and hard before even bringing this up to your wife.

    If you really want to test these waters, I would ask her, enthusiastically - "Are you stoked for Pearl Jam at Wrigley??!!" If she gives a lukewarm response, a couple days later then bring up the idea - "hey we can get a lot of money for the extra ticket if you don't want to go - we can use the money to go out to dinner another time. But if she is looking forward to the show I wouldn't even bring this up to her at all.

    It is going to hurt her feelings and then she'll tell you to just go by yourself if you don't want her there. And you'll get the cold shoulder for months. Then you will have the worst of all situations. You will go to Wrigley, by yourself, exactly like you suggested, but not enjoy it because your wife is at home, stewing with a cold shoulder.

    That's awesome your wife is into PJ. Bring her to the show and share a great event together. If she loves you maybe she won't mind if you "let it all hang out".

    Ok so this show will be my husbands first and my 11th (I think). I have asked him several times to go before but he never wanted to go as he is not a fan of large crowds, has a ho hum attitude about the whole concert thing, likes Pearl Jam & has never cared if I went without him :-) So this time I asked him if just this once being in Wrigley and all if he wanted to go....he said yes :-)

    I am beyond words excited that he will get to experience this show!! Take your wife take, your BF/GF take anyone who will go!! Let them experience the greatest band on Earth :-)

    The minute you told her the 2nd ticket was her's was your 1st mistake at this point there is no taking it back with out the consequences of sleeping on the couch for a while , i've got tickets to London and the minute i scored them i told her i'm going alone as i have for like 35 of the 40 shows i've been to , i have taken her to 5 of them ....
