when i first saw this thread i honestly thought it was created as joke in response to the thread that was created where there OP didn't know what to do with their 7 year old at the show and 10C BBQ. after 6 pages, this thread is obviously not a joke.

so in short... marriage, you are doing it wrong.

There are many other PJ lovin' couples that go to shows together. When we went to Missoula we met 2 other couples at our B&B that travel and go to shows together. Wouldn't dream of going without Mr. Guitar, although he has gone to several without me!

No, not now, but I used to be in a common law marriage, and I wouldn't have ever been with him in the first place if I couldn't have a really great time with him at a concert, and he wouldn't have been with me if he didn't think I would be tons of fun at a concert either. In any case, why do you ask? I'm pretty knowledgeable about relationships, from both first hand and second hand experience.... Are you suggesting that married people are lame, or... ??? I really don't get your point.

Nothing wrong with seeing the occasional show without your spouse. Especially if you've been to other shows with them. Just like anything else, some couples can do things seperately once in a while, some have to be together constantly or they think they're hurting the other if they're having fun without them.

It's not a referendum on this guy's marriage if he doesn't take his wife to this one show. Sometimes you do have a little more fun and can let loose because you're not worried about your loved one being there too, i.e. are they safe? are they having a good time? does she still think I'm stupid for being so into this song? is she mad that I just sparked this J? etc...

On another note, I'm looking for someone's extra GA ticket to Wrigley if anyone has one because their extra dropped out or whatever, let me know PM me here.

There's totally nothing wrong with not going to a show with your spouse. I think it was more the reasoning behind not taking her that got people confused. ... I can't imagine being married to someone who I couldn't have the MOST fun with and let loose with, but hey, that's just me!

Ok, I went through all the pages...and I don't understand what is so complicated. I mean, is she dying to go? Is she marking her calendar every day, counting down the days? Is she checking out youtube clips of hot Eddie shaking his hips and doing the robot and still thinks he's the best dancer in the world? Is this the biggest event of the year for her...? Then yeah, you'd be the biggest asshole on planet earth not to give her your spare. On the hand, if she doesn't really care or would just go because you're going, then you shouldn't feel bad telling her that you have friends who would kill for that ticket.
No need to do everything together just because you're married.

He did say that, but for him to consider giving the ticket to someone else or go alone makes me think she can't be that excited about it. If my boyfriend had two tickets and didn't want to give me his spare( which he would never do cause he knows how much a PJ show means to me!), I'd f'n beat him up well not really, but it would probably be the end of it, haha.
