  • why is he still in the country?

    again, read the manifesto.
he is in this for blood:
The Violence of action will be HIGH. I am the reason TAC alert was established. I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty.

he has no concern for his saftey, he is not running. he is on a mission:
I will conduct DA operations to destroy, exploit and seize designated targets. If unsuccessful or unable to meet objectives in these initial small scale offensive actions, I will reassess my BDA and re-attack until objectives are met. I have nothing to lose. My personal casualty means nothing.

He thinks he is making a difference.
The blue line will forever be severed and a cultural change will be implanted. You have awoken a sleeping giant.

I am here to change and make policy. The culture of LAPD versus the community and honest/good officers needs to and will change. I am here to correct and calibrate your morale compasses to true north.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

I just saw some of it live on our local news. Shitload of gunfire heard via the reporter.

I hope those two officers will be OK, and no more shot in the process.

sorry, i did not read his ravings. i heard he mentioned charlie sheen by name, and that was enough to make me disinterested in what he had to say, so i did not search for it.

why is it the ravings of madmen are always called "manifestos"?

I don't get why they haven't moved more tactical vehicles into the area (Based on the live shot)

Sounds like he is in a shootout as we speak.

I would just bomb the house.

    yeah. (to the shoot out)
no to the bomb (there are two hostages in the house).

CRAZY part is that he is ACROSS THE STREET from the command center.
THE command center set up for this whole thing,
and this crazy fuck posted up shop next door. Like, LITERALLY across the street.
    lol.

Shit. Watching the live feed from the ground. They have been sending police vehicles up the hill 10 at a time for the past 15 minutes. There is a whole lot of fuzz in those hills. Makes you wonder who is watching the rest of the state.

There aren't any reports that he has hostages. Just that he kind of tied up a couple and stole their car maybe? Or not? But no reports that they are still with him. Of course, they don't known for sure that there aren't hostages, which is why, of course, they don't bomb the house... also because police din'tntend to use large bombs to destroy wanted suspects!

Obviously, but I see no reason to risk the lives of more officers to try and get this guy out alive.

It is probably still their preference for him to surrender. I imagine they are willing to be patient if no one is in immediate danger.

I hear you, but I can't see any way this guy gets taken alive. He has made it clear he is going to take as many with him as he can.
