Kicked off the second leg of the tour last night in Anaheim. How I love this band.
Pete's getting over bronchitis and his voice was rough but his playing was on fire. Amazing version of The Rock. Roger's sounding good and I really enjoyed Simon's singing.
If you have a chance, see this show. Quad isn't easy to play (or sing) but they are more than doing it justice."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -
I really want to go to one of their shows, but since it's almost exclusively UK I'm not sure I can swing it financially, especially since I want to do PJ's chicago show.0

I know this is going to be sacrilege in these parts, but if I were in your shoes, I'd do The Who at this juncture. The show is amazing, and you won't get many more opportunities. It's not like Wrigley is PJ20. Sure, it'll be special I guess (though I do think folks are getting their hopes WAY too up for this show), but quite frankly, Quad vs. PJ - Quad is the easy winner.
Will you get to talk to your buddies on a message board about Quad after? Not much. So, will it SEEM like you missed out on more skipping Wrigley? Most likely. But, in fact, what you don't know will kill you.
Then again, The Who is my all time favorite band and Quad is my all time favorite album. So, take that for what it's worth.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -

Got my ticket for the O2, London June 15th
So far, that makes it The Who on Saturday and Neil Young & Crazy Horse on the Monday, wondering (hoping) that The Who will add a second night, on the Sunday, to make my weekend complete!I changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate...

I loved the Philly show I attended in December! Long live rock!"A beacon on dry land"0

I just saw them in LA last night, WOW they kicked ass!
If I had any reservations of The Who without Keith and John by the end of the first song those questions were answered - these guys rock! They more than did Quadrophenia justice
I also think it is quite ballsy for them to tour Quadrophenia because it isn't their most popular album. But I am happy because it is one of my favorite rock albums in general so to get an opportunity to see the material presented in a live setting by the brains behind it (Pete) and the voice behind it (Roger) was really special0 -
Got tickets to see them in Amsterdam! At Ziggo Dome too, I love that venue...can't wait!0

Ok. Couldn't resist. Broke down and got tix for WhoCares benefit at The Theater at MSG. Get to see quad for 3rd time at Coliseum then get to bid them adieu a week later at their last show in the States. Including 121212 that'll be 5 times for me.Sorry. Got my wish come true for the second show at the O2
Bizarrely, I was allocated the same seat/location for both nights...not that I'm complaining when it's Row A, Block 112, PT's side.
So, what a weekend I have in store...The Who Sat & Sun, then Neil Young on the Monday!I changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate...

I know, how do you follow The Who? I'm sure Neil will give it his best shot...I changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate...

I'm heading to this show tonight in Phoenix. Decided yesterday to get tix, tried TM but nothing. Went to eBay and saw a set of resonable priced tix. At cost or less by the looks of it, good section and row. So, bought them. When I received the email from the seller I noticed their user name was Brainof something or other. So, I immediatley emailed back and was like, you must be a PJ Fan. Turns out, yes indeed, huge PJ fan, had a set of extra Who fan club tix that she needed to get rid of. Anyway, we met today for the tix exchange and exchanged many PJ related stories! Love when shit like this happens. She was really happy that a "true" fan got the tix. With that said, love me some Who tonight!0

Just got back.
The Who killed it tonight. The crowd was awful! Halfway into the first song, they all sat and stayed seated the entire time around me. One old broad made a comment about my standing and she got a middle finger in her old face, followed by a long swig of beer!
My first Who show. Love me some Who, but the crowd suuuuucked!0
