Great setlist, with songs I hadn't seen them do live in a bazillion years (ICSFM and Magic Bus), and some I'd never seen live:
I Can’t Explain The Seeker Who Are You The Kids Are Alright (my first time to hear this one live!) I Can See for Miles Pictures of Lily (another first time live!) My Generation Magic Bus (I hadn't seen live since 1976!) Behind Blue Eyes Bargain Join Together (another first!) You Better You Bet I’m One Love, Reign O’er Me Eminence Front A Quick One (While He’s Away) (best of all!) Amazing Journey/Sparks Pinball Wizard See Me, Feel Me Baba O’Riley Won’t Get Fooled Again
Wow! That's a strong set list

It is with regret that the Who are postponing the next three shows of their The Who Hits 50! North American Tour based on doctors' advice that lead singer Roger Daltrey remain on vocal rest, due to swollen vocal cords, for the remainder of this week. The three shows affected are: Tuesday 5 May in Kansas City, MO at the Sprint Center, Thursday 7 May in St Louis, MO at the Scottrade Center and Saturday 9 May in Louisville, KY at the KFC Yum! Arena. The new show dates will be announced shortly and tickets for these shows will be honoured at the rescheduled dates. The Who Hits 50! Tour will resume next Monday 11 May at the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN.
That stinks! Just picked up a pair of great seats to the st.louis show on Sunday. The new date may or may not work, but the Who's worth the wait I guess. the wife was really looking forward to seeing Joan Jett and the black hearts. Rarely does the new date include the same opener.

I HOPE Roger is gonna be alright. Sounds like he is having other physical problems also.
I know i was surprised when they announced so many dates for this tour, and if they could actually do so many shows.

Anyone know what time they've been hitting the stage? Tix say 7:30 start, and I can't find any info on a opener? Obviously they won't be on at 7:30, just wondering if it's around 9 or what to expect?

I'd say just short of 9:00

Last night, Rosemont, Illinois.
Some of the videos they've been showing were a little too much for me at my advanced age. Too psychedelic! But a lot of them are really cool. Even though I could have done without hearing Squeeze Box at the Dallas show, I LOVED the video that went with it. They recreated the John's portraits of the band members from the cover of By Numbers, then animated them. It was great.
Hello? Squeeze Box is a rocking fucking song...or a fucking rocking song. Either way, it fucking rocks.

OK, OK. I just don't think it's one of their better songs. If they were going to play something from By Numbers, I'd rather have heard Slip Kid or Dreaming from the Waist. But I don't want to turn into one of those whiny Who fans that says the set lists have become boring and predictable.
I'm going as well and can't wait; watching the video of Ed singing Behind Blue Eyes and then with Pete playing Betterman and Save it for Later pumped me up even more. It will be a rocking time for sure.
I saw the Columbus show last night... GREAT setlist and the band was pretty good!! You could tell Roger's voice wasn't all there, but he did a really good job considering the issues he's had recently!! Joan Jett's opening set was killer too!!

Going tonight in Philly and Wednesday at Nassau Coliseum in NY. Eddie is doing Letterman Monday night in NYC.... maybe he'll stick around for the Who show Wednesday??
Hope you lucky fucks and angels have a great time tonight!
Check out the merchandise booths. Lots of tees. The tour program is great! I also bought a set of the guitar picks; they are so cool!
Catch as much of the pre-show videos as you can. There are great tributes to Keith and John. Also a lot of info on Pino and Zak (who is a fucking beast BTW!). Cute pic of Zak as a boy with Keith. And a slide about Bobby Pridden, who's worked for the band since 1966 and only missed 2 gigs.
You'll get a history of the band playing in Philly, with dates and venues. I.e., for Dallas, first show was in 1967 opening for Herman's Hermits at State Fair Music Hall (I think), blah blah woof woof. Impress the people around you when you point out different shows and say "I was at that one!"
One thing I thought was really fun was a sort of quiz: "How well do you know The Who's songs?" They show a picture of the band onstage and you guess the song title. About 8 different songs, I think. My sister and BIL were flabbergasted that I only missed one. Well, it helps if you've seen them live. Some are definitely easier than others but I'm not gonna give any spoilers. Just try not to overthink it.
No encore. The band will stay onstage and Pete and Roger will introduce the other members and say a few things about Teen Cancer America.

Slip Kid IS great! Columbus was at the cozy confines of the Horseshoe (cap. 106,000), no?
