    384 pages is not short

    It has very generous margins. It felt more like 679 pages than the 1100 it actually has :lol:

    He JUST announced he published a NON FICTION essay or short book about guns.
    The title is "GUNS"

    I am really interested in reading it soon. Has anyone else had a chance to read it yet?

    i have so many SK books that I haven't read yet... :fp: including the Green Mile...I started getting the individual volumes when it first came out years ago...but I'm missing a couple..

    The Stand is not only my favorite SK book, but also my favorite book ever (to the great disapproval of my English professors in university... an english major's favorite book is supposed to be something much more high brow :roll: :lol: ). I just had to buy a new copy of it because my old one was read to shreds.

    My other faves are:
    The Long Walk
    The Running Man
    The Shining
    Christine
    ... many more.

    11/22/63 or whatever it's called is really good (even though it loses track a bit near the end I thought) - you really have to have read IT for it to make complete sense. IT is also very good, but slightly tedious at time IMO. Still good enough for me to have read it three times.

    If you haven't read it, do it. One of the great American Novels. His best book. Has so many good ones, but this is the one.

    Uh..ok..I'm confused...I have a twitter account..but I don't really use it that often..I really only signed up to follow the #dirtyfranking to MT last year. I did get a weird message the other day about bugging people to follow them, but i just ignored it.. :? I think the only thing I twitted recently was about the Wrigley show...so..yeah...anything else wasn't me...it seems twitter in particular is subject to random stuff like that.


    Anyway...back to the subject of the thread...I'm going to go finish up Under the Dome!

    I read that over my winter break and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was a good story, and helped add a little bit to the Dark Tower mythos. If nothing else, it was nice to slide back into that world for a bit.

    That was a great book! I breezed through it in about two weeks. I almost wonder if King wrote it with television in mind because of the quick scene cuts throughout. Maybe with the book as a template and Brian K. Vaughn as the writer, the TV show may not be so awful ...

    Hmm. I can see that. Where you're at (if I recall correctly) is a bit different from the rest of the book. But keep going ... I enjoyed how it wrapped up quite a bit.
