Neither have I. It's been close to 15 years since I read the first book so I am toying with the idea of re-reading the entire series and tucking Keyhole between books 4 and 5 like King says.

I've never read any of the Tower books except for 1/3 of the first. I found that 1/3 of a book unbearably boring, so I decided the Tower series isn't for me... I know so many people love them, but I just couldn't get through it. I don't know what it was. Love Stephen King so much (and god knows enough people have tried to convince me to read them), but I just can't get on board with the series! I think maybe it's because I hate fantasy novels, and the Tower reminded me more of a that genre....

That monkey was found wandering in an Ikea near Toronto a few months ago. Got caught on film, and became one of those viral kind of stories... people loved it! (I actually found it somewhat distressing myself)

I didn't read this whole thread, but am I the only one who hated "Thinner" ? It was recommended to me and I HATED it! It wasn't scary, was kind of hokey, and the pulsating pie? Uugh. (Sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere)

It's definitely not one of his best, that's for sure. I don't think he put much effort into that one. But compared to the movie, it was worthy of a Pulitzer.

Here's the CNN story. It's a really stupidly presented story. They totally ignored the animal abuse angle, which actually did exist with the owner, despite the cute coat.

I know. :( I was livid when that happened and I was watching it on the news! The Canadian press handled it only slightly more tastefully.... Pretty much all reports were more gleeful than anything else. But what it came down to in the end was that the idiot who owned it had no idea how to take care of it, it was somewhat malnourished and suffered from anxiety, and she also physically abused it (claiming that was how she was training it, and considered that method legit). I don't know if they went forward with charges, but I hope so!!

Has anyone mentioned 'Apt Pupil'? That was really gooooood, great movie adaption too.

It's been a while, but I read quite a few too, the short story ones were as freaky as fuck.

    Really loved...

    Pet Cemetery
    Christine
    Misery
