eh, wasn't my favorite ed collaboration.

that being said, i am happy we were treated to something completely new. he could have easily decided to just sing baba or love reign or me with the who, which we have all heard a million times.

I also agree wish Gilmour was there - I had a feeling that the back up guy would be confused with EV because of the hair and sure enough:

one of the best things for me watching it was how much Ed put into it. We all enjoy how he fucks up lyrics with PJ sometimes but you could tell he was very passionate about doing this song last night, and doing it right. and he fucking nailed it.

one of the things i thought watching this was Stone's quote from PJ20 "wow our guys really fucking good to"
seeing him on that stage, with such legends and killing it kind of made me feel proud.

I've been reading a lot of posts about how Eddie was "epic" and "brought me to tears" and "took me to another universe" Seriously people get a grip, he sang the chorus!!!! He did a good job, it wasn't that epic.

I think Eddie Vedder could release a compilation of farts and people would be saying how incredible and moving it is.

Some of the people on here are like the teenage girls screaming "we love you" Justin Bieber. Just my opinion.

    Let the blasting begin.

Yup, I thought Waters voice sounded really old, detracted from an otherwise excellent performance.

Some of us as kids listened to both. :) I'm a few years younger than Ed, but for me as a kid it was all about The Who, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Queen, and the Beatles. I was in eighth grade when Queen and David Bowie released "Under Pressure," and for a (literally -- I've liked them for as long as I can remember) lifelong fan of both it was a wonderful gift. Last night was like that, for me -- Ed singing my favorite PF song. :D

No blasting...but I hope you'll watch the performance again and this interview with Roger Waters, who thought it was extraordinary. He was even moved enough to give Ed a little kiss. I thought he nailed it too. :)
