I'm glad he didnt off Rosetti. His character has been fantastic.

100% agree...its just gonna make the show better, the longer he's involved

crazy fuck that he is....i see a auto-erotic asphyxiation death scene in the future :fp:

Season 3 thus far has been very good. Much better than last season.

last season was much better in my opinion. gyp is a great bad guy...a bit too one dimensional though. if he's going to stick around, they need to develop his character more than they have thus far (weird sex shit aside  )

    OK - some thoughts;

--So did Teddy start the fire in the greenhouse, or not ? :|

--At first Remis was funny. Now he's annoying,
& I somehow wiish that he would get whacked.

--Its a shame everytime we saw the new post jail Eli ,
we had to see Mickey .
I like the evolved character of Eli and look forward to see what happens
    between him and Nucky.
Yeah , he tried to kill his brother ,
but maybe jail has changed him somehow.

--Nucky asking the prosecutor Esther Randolph to breakfast
    is either really really brilliant,
...or it shows exactly how insane Nucky is becoming.
This may serve to either put him under or save him further on up the road.
Theyre really getting into politics all the way up to the president.
Interesting hearing the names in this context.
    Great exchange:
" who do you think the american people will believe, the US Attorney General or a washed up bootlegger from New Jersey " ?
Maybe that dialogue forced Nucky to go see Ms. Randolph.

--Gillian sure is twisted, who the hell knows whats on her mind ?
The funniest line from her scenes last night " Are you sure you're 29? "
The scariest line from her scenes last night : " I'm gonna call you James,.."
    He was a king? Okayyyyyyyyyy

--And it was only a question of time before Owen Slater and Margaret
hooked up again - ( since the one time last season )
He's been spending way too much time around , due to Nuckys absence.
And ever since seeing Nucky at the tailor shop with Miss Kent
its seemed like she wanted some revenge , either with the young doctor or owen .

Cant wait for next Sunday !

I thought Margarets son(forget his name) was going to be looking down from the window when Owen and her were hooking up in the green house.

Reemis gets jailed or whacked next week. He is annoying.

As far as Gillian and this Roger guy that she met and wants to call "James": He looks a lot like Jimmy and I'm guessing that she ends up killing him and using his body to somehow declare Jimmy officially dead so that she can get his property and of course, the house.

teddy did set the greenhouse on fire...it's just when he mentioned seeing the man (a gypsy) that owen & his guys found a nearby vagrant to blame thus had him "taken care of." no one wants to blame teddy, he looks so innocent...the lil pyro. it ties in with margeret & owen talking about the pooka (irish shape-shifting boogieman)

was surprised to see mickey since he fucked up so bad by ignoring nuckys orders given what happened to the booze shipment & crew in tabor heights. does mickey have something on nucky and eli that he's still kickin after that major mess? :?

it'll be interesting to see how things play out between nucky & esther randolph. how long until they're doing something more intimate at 5am than having breakfast together? ;)

at first i thought gillian hooked up with roger just because of the fact that he resembles jimmy. but it makes sense that she's gonna off him. she does need to have jimmy declared dead so she has total control with everything in her name. the crazy letter last week was a set up for when 'i think i'll call you James' dead body 'comes back to her.' she is flat-out fucking evil  (pooka of another shape?)

    OK,
    lol @ lil pyro.

It was clear the punishment Margaret gave Teddy
hurt Margaret more than Teddy himself.
He was just like ho hum,..

    Transition episode this past week.

Rosetti will be all guns a blazing towards Nucky/Rothstein/Lucciano to try and save his own ass.

I knew Gillian was going to "off" Roger.

I love this show, but the last 2 episodes have been pretty bad. If not for Richard Harrow I would really be losing interest. I didn't think losing Jimmy would hurt the show that bad but then again, I didn't plan on them completely ignoring Van Alden, Chalky, Rothstein, and Capone. This season has been a big disappointment so far.

You know what, I agree with this Heisenberg...earlier in the thread I said I was disappointed with this season as there are too many characters being introduced and then forgotten about...then a few great episodes happened...then a few duds...
Jimmy not being in this show definitely hurts
Where the heck is Van Alden and Chalky? Two complex and awesome characters virtually ignored this season
    More Capone and less Margaret...PLEASE
This whole storyline with Nucky and the singer chick is stupid
I like Gyp Rosetti actually, but I want more "Sopranos" type violence and pace...
Eli? Where's his balls? They've been cut off...

I like this show, a lot. Season 1 had me glued and season 2 - especially toward the end had me psyched for this season. This season has been a letdown (imo)...some great episodes and some real duds...
Lets hope Sunday is as great as the previews make it out to be

Ya, offing Jimmy was not a good call imo.
He was the only really sympathetic character on the show. Feels like there is no one to root for. If not for Harrow, I'd probably dislike every character on the show. Owen's alright I guess....

    +1 - excellent episode...
Love having a little bit more of Van Alden, confrontation between Gillian & Nucky, Nucky/Gov't scenes, more Capone and the blast at the end - setting up a great final few episodes.
When this show is good, man is it good.
1 complaint: enough with Margaret. The whole love affair/womans clinic is not moving this show forward at all, that story is bland & predictable at best and takes screen time away from Chalky, Rothstein, Gyp & Van Alden. if Nucky wasn't screwing around and super devoted to her, them maybe this would play out ok. For me it just grinds the show to a halt.
Super episode all and all last eve. Lots of great drama/action and violence to look forward to!

Gillian is a shrewd bitch !

Loved Van Alden as the florists " muscle "

Looks like Nuckys cummare' Billie Kent is 6 ft under too .

    last night's episode was great

gillian continues to show how ruthlessly evil she is. so did harrow really think jimmy was 'in hiding' all that time or was he just playing along with her ruse?

when van alden ironed that asshat's face was well done albeit disturbing. then as he was fixing to get the family outta town.... sigred shows him her smarts

i was expecting to hear gunshots at the end....what happened instead  its' fairly clear that billie's a goner...as for the others!?

imo, the character developement and portraying other issues of the 20's does alot to make this show interesting. yeah it's drama but also many of the characters are based on real people...so the writers have to walk a fine line not to go too far over the top. so i don't get how some seem to think the show needs more violence to be interesting...if they turn it into just another blood & guts action series....now that'd be boring

    Agreed.
Its an era piece, so showing all the different subjects, sch as the Suffarage Movement and the beginnings of birth control add to the quality of the show. Sure, I'll vbe tuning in to see Rosetti eventually get snubbed, but the other small storylines add to the overall content of this series.
    kudos.
