    10000% correct

Too many storylines that are NOT intersecting
    Too much Nucky psyche stuff

I loved this show at one time, and I admire the acting, sets, etc...I seriously think there are too many characters who are not central to moving this show forward stealing dialogue and screen time...
I wish Van Patten directed and wrote every episode...it's painfully obvious when he and Terrence Winter walk away and let others contribute...

I hope it turns around quick or they will lose this faithful fan and viewer

i think it makes sense for them to go into the effects that killing jimmy is having on nucky's psyche...it goes to show he's human & not cold blooded

tho rosetti really is a cold-blooded prick. it figures he's attracted to gillian...talk about two pychopathic peas in a pod.

and what's up with gillian lying to lucky saying jimmy's away somewhere & not telling him that he's dead?

like how van alden's wife sigred isn't quite so innocent as she previously seemed

everytime they show mickey doyle it makes me wonder how the dumbfuck has managed to stay alive

when nucky asked harrow how many people he's killed? then without pause he replied 63...that was chilling

i loved this episode. fucking loved it...including the nucky psyche stuff. it was smart, funny, thoughtful, and gyp rosetti is a god damn lunatic. i like where this is headed.

they are channeling their innner sopranos...and to me, that is great news.

i agree. the harrow admitting the number of people he killed was chilling. how nonchalantly he said it.

also, how is mickey still alive? the minute he starts talking like a hardass he has a gun in his face lol.. i guess the lesson there is to be careful who you lie to about who you are or what you have done. it could come back to bite you in a big way.

nobody has mentioned margaret and what she is doing at the hospital. i can see her becoming a leader in the women's suffrage movement.

i can easily see Eli taking over Mickey Doyles job(s) here,
in fact the end kinda showed Eli ribbing into Doyle.

    This weeks preview:

    " Blue Bell Boy "

    Nucky & Owen hide out;
    Mickey makes a critica decision in Nuckys abscence;
tensions rise in the feud between Capone and O'Banion.

weird that some ppl (rolling stone mag being one) are saying that this weeks (Blue Bell Boy) episode was really weak & dull. I thought it was one of the better episodes of the entire series!

yeah, really liked it too.. but i guess i can understand how some might find it a bit tame and want all hell to break loose already..
Nucky's definitely different since killing Jimmy, not letting that kid go to send a message to Owen.. by the end of the season i think everyone will be pleased by what will go down..
really liked seeing more of Capone and him singing to his kid.

I have to say, for as crazy violent this show is, the scene where Capone is singing to his son brought a tear to my eye. I wonder if this is based on reality or the relationship was made up for the show.

 100% agree I'll admit, I DID well up, couldn't believe it, my wife looked at me and laughed...was a beautiful moment - I was close to losing it earlier in the episode when he was asking his son to hit him and the kid started crying LOL...
I really needed this show to have the episode it did last night. After last weeks episode, I thought this show was really losing it, however, last night showed that when this show is "on its game" its right there with the top shows on TV.

GREAT episode last night, seems like the set up for what's coming is going to be awesome!

whew---- I also agree that this week was better than last weeks epsiode. :fp:

It will be interesting to see how Eli moves back up and in with Nuckys graces.
The closing segment last night with him telling Nucky about the ambush left us all hanging,
but in the coming scenes for next week, Eli was all dressed up to the Ts.

Also liked the extended segments with Nucky and Owen Slater.
Seems Nucky got concenred when Mickey double checked the " plan " with Slater,
and Nucky got angry/jealous. ( " What the fuck are you asking him for ? " )
Which is why he whacked that 19 year old Roland Smith
( who i didnt even remember ) to shock Slater and 'scare him straight' so to speak .

Also interesting how theyre building up to either a 2 or 3 way battle with AC- NYC
between Gip Rosetti, Nucky, and Arnold Rothstein.

Also showing Lucky Luciano back in his old neighborhood
    ( and English subtitles )
and the cultivation of the heroin trade.

Looking forward to next week ,....

    Wow what an opening scene,
When I saw the leather belt ,
I was expecting that to be agent Van Alden and his wifey.
(Little did I know she'd later be whacking the Customs Agent)

Gip Rosetti is one freaky deek !
That erotic asphyxiation will kill ya !

Wish the paperboy woulda been more precise with his handgun,..
4 casualties and none being Rosetti.

oh man ...was it ever fucked up! tho by myself just watching the opening scene made me blush

i figured it was gonna be van alden & his wife at first too. now isn't sigred the wacky one? get the idea she's also running from something in her past

margaret catching nucky & billie together in the dress shop. will she have an affair with the dr. (even tho he's engaged) to get back at nucky?

gillian totally lost her sanity. so deep in denial she's become delusional...apparently she actually believes jimmy's alive & in hiding somewhere

just when i was thinking it couldn't get any freakier or creepier than the opening scene...along comes that gory one towards the end  ....yeah that was enough to make me miss angela's lesbian love scences....and i'm not even into chics

I'm glad he didnt off Rosetti. His character has been fantastic.

Season 3 thus far has been very good. Much better than last season.
