Just wondering, and I know it's the rule, but whay does a conversion have to happen on that play? If it's blocked, stopped, picked off, doesn't matter you cant convert it into points on defense. Anyone?

if you block the xp and run it back for a score it's worth two points

    still a stupid rule

Is that the rule? I really didn't know that and I'm fairly sure I 've never seen it.

    chucky is losing it :lol::lol::lol:

he's one of the few things worse than the refs

but seriously, how the hell does goodell still have a job??????

    #worstcommishinsportshistory

Isiah thomas did a better job running the cba or whatever that league was

that's a stretch......just throw in a big 10 bash next time instead :fp:

    I don't think it is a stretch.

the big 10 stuff is too easy at this point. yesterday I read an article comparing them to the big east  ...actually insulting to the big east

Pretty sure that rule only applies in college ball but it would have been sweet justice if it actually happened
    here.

I have to try and find it. I mean I don;t really remember seeing a defensive player trying to run back a blocked XP or pick on a 2P conversion.

you might be right about that. I know for a fact it's a cfb rule. probably makes too much sense to fit in with the asinine nfl rules

here's another thing that bothers me...

sunday night belichik went crazy after he thought the balt kicker missed his GW FG. and if a ball goes OVER the uprights it is not a reviewable play (which is stupid as fuck). why the hell don't they make the goal posts 20 feet higher??? These geniuses can't figure this out? baseball makes their foul poles high enough where this isn't an issue.

    so stupid

From what I see the ball is dead in the NFL. College that's the rule but from what I see the ball is dead in the NFL.

  • They should refuse to play and then the National Football Laughing stock league can bring in
    replacement players.
and then some clowns and clown cars and some elephants and lions............

I'm sorry, was it the comment about the clowns and elephants that led you to believe I was serious?

there you go. which of course makes the forced xp try make even less sense

Can you bet on MLS? I need to find something else to do on sundays

GB might beat the saints by 40 next week.

I guess I will have to watch for one more week since I will have a vested interest in that one

It doesn't make sense. I was just wondering if anyone saw an angle of why they do it that I couldn't think of. It has to be because of the betting lines. No other reason.

I took the under on the Pack of 24 1/2, I believe Seattle O/U was 21. GB was -3. Didn't affect anyone.

what's even more illogical is that this rule does not apply in Overtime. If a team scores a TD to win the game, the extra point is not attempted.

    bizarre.

In this game it might not have...but if you gamble football you know as well as anyone how scary those lines are week in and week out. It's mind boggling at times how accurate they are.
