  • Okay so Andrew Luck is fucking awesome. Maybe the best rookie I've seen. Yeah Roethlisberger won every game and Cam threw for 4,000 yards and ran for a bunch of TDs...but this kid is just great. Not "rookie-great"....just great.

I can't even bring myself to watch this game. I just have no desire to see those two bush-league franchises dick around for 3 hours.

Isn't there a real football game on? Like Browns/Jaguars or something like that?

At the end of the Colts / Lions game, with 4 seconds left and fourth down ... my screen goes blank and my DVR asks if I want to save or delete this recording!

    :fp:

After cursing and frantically pushing buttons on the remote, I get back just in time to here the announcer yell, "Colts win!" while a deliriously happy Andrew Luck was hugging everyone in sight.

Needless to say, I was just as happy.

the best part about that last play was luck running down towards the endzone looking for someone to block. he's great.

  • Huge win for Seattle this week after being terrible against Miami. If they win 3/4 they put themselves in a a great position for playoffs. 4/4 they could take the division (with help). I like the chances against Buffalo, Stl, and Arizona. Playing SF at home certainly helps as well. Russell Wilson is just getting better every week.

I have foreseen it. Mamasan23's compassion for you will be her undoing. She will come to you and then you will bring her before me.

TIME sat in on meeting between Goodell and Rich McKay, head of the NFL's powerful competition committee. Goodell brought up a proposal promoted by Greg Schiano, coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: after a touchdown or field goal, instead of kicking off, a team would get the ball on its own 30-yard line, where it's fourth-and-15. The options are either to go for it and try to retain possession, or punt. If you go for it and fall short, the opposing team would take over with good field position. In essence, punts would replace kickoffs, and punts are less susceptible to violent collisions than kickoffs.
