Okay you both win. Two guys with a combined 57,000 posts on a message board are just gonna post and post and post and post until I'm driven insane. So I'm gonna bid this thread farewell. 81, I think Clay Matthews is a douche so I'm kinda pulling for the Bears to win that division. DS1119, wide-right, bro. Wide-freaking-right.

make sure to stop back next wed...we'll talk some more hard knocks...and knock on one anouther.

    [insert fav smilie here]

btw..you're a good egg in my book....don't take this thread serious.

    CHILL OUT EVERYONE!!!
Man, this is a fun thread, right?
We are all here to comment on one of the best shows in all of TV land, seriously.
Bills fans, Jets fans, Pats fans - feel free to bash away - it's all 'Kool n The Gang' and part of the fun of escaping for a while...
If DS1119 really thinks The Amish Rifle is the answer, so be it. If "F the Fish" wants to get slung around - so be it. If people want to bash "Who cares?" about the Fins or state this "is the worst season of the show" - that's fine too.
81 believes his beloved Bears will play in the Super Bowl this season - god bless him for it. I love that hope that springs each August leading into the season. While he and I haven't always agreed on everything, IF the Bears get to the SB, man I'll pull like heck for them (unless its vs the Fins :D ) and feel really happy for him if/when they win.
BTW - Episode #2 delivered 984,000 viewers, up 34% from last week . Last night’s edition was the second most watched episode of Hard Knocks since ever (trailing only the season finale of the NY Jets series in 2010, which clocked in just over a million viewers – 1.009M)
    Pretty cool.
Go Phins - and keep it fun and light gang, like Rodney King said "Where are all the white women at...uh, I mean can't we all get along?" :D

Do you think if Ryan Tannehill plays well against the 1's and Garrard's injury takes more time then 2-4 wks, he could end up starting? A ton of the media in Miami seems to be leaning that way...What would they do with Matt Moore? That guy really led the team last year, seems he's working hard and has grasped Sherman's offensive philosophy. On the other hand, do you sit the 8th overall pick if you are trying to develop him?
We'll see what tomorrow brings - our D might get carved up (5 starters OUT) - chance for the 2's to play and shine.
Even though its preseason, man do I love football season!

:D - simply from a team dynamic - there is a rift right now in the locker-room because of the Chad Johnson handling (ridiculous to me, had to happen) - what little time the QB's wives aren't shown, it seems Matty has the confidence of the team. Should Tannehill be named starter, I wonder if the vets - who believe Miami can win some more games this season - look at it as a rebuild, suffer season...then you'd have to question effort.
RT17 is starting tonight vs Carolina. There was some crazy prank the coaches pulled this wk and a Marine visit that was unbelievably gut wrenching also. Coupled with the game, should lead to yet another awesome episode of Hard Knocks on Tuesday!

If this Miami team keeps missing tackles, we are in BIG trouble
I would like to see Philbin get a little fired up also...they say a team takes on the personality of the coach - I watched his presser today hoping he was going to be extremely critical of the tackling, second level blocking - nada - he's "encouraged"...
Tuesday's episode should be interesting... :?

Ryan Tannehill has been named the starter for the 2012 season...
17th starting QB since the Fins watched Dan Marino retire...
Although I feel bad for Matt Moore, this move had to be made. You don't use the 8th pick and let them collect dust in the midst of the team rebuilding anyway, right?

Chad Johnson is gone but at least we still get a healthy dose of Tannehill's wife I'm sure. :corn:

Was it me or was this week's episode short by a few minutes? I think HBO has given up trying to be entertaining this year. Let's just cut our losses and show the cheerleaders for all of episode 4

I seem to think about the Jimmy Johnson, Nick Saban & Tony Sparano "approach" (yelling, screaming, emotional, etc...) and that got the Dolphins a whole lot of ineptitude and mediocrity...(something Buffalo & Cleveland fans can sympathize with - surely)...
I also believe the Tony Dungy & Bill Belicheck "way" (intelligence, calm demeanor) has yielded some fine results...the day and age of being Bobby Knight/Bill Parcells/drill sergeant types seems to be a thing of the past...
Yes Joe is very vanilla. Maybe to a fault, we'll see...I'll give him a season and real game situations before I label what he is (bigger picture/scope of work to judge).
Things I VERY much like about Joe:
    - The very smart football people he has surrounded himself with. This is the best set of asst coaches MIA has had in a very long time...
    - The idea the "leadership council" could be discussed and he has the leaders buying into his program. (Nice to see Reggie Bush initiate this, especially in the same week he gave his Heisman back)
    - That he looks like Mr. Mackey from 'South Park'
If our OLINE doesn't come together - especially that right side, won't matter WHO the coach is or WHO the QB is - could be a very long season...
    GO PHINS!!!
