    I think that's just bullshit. Free speech doesn't mean that people should stand by and allow people to spread hate, bigotry, and intolerance in the name of religion or free speech. And I bet this wouldn't be going over the same way for folks if it was some business going public with their feelings about what crap "Christian values" are or the Pro-Choice movement. So hypocritical! The people are HIDING behind this story about free speech. And I think it is absolute garbage to hide behind "religious beliefs" here. If this were an issue of a business claiming they were against women working or something in the name of religion, this crap would not fly. Well, this situation is NO different.



    How is he spreading hate ? Did he say he hated Gay People ? No.. you don't even know the facts ? All you did was jump on this band wagon. He said he didnt believe in Gay marige.     Also, I've never heard of a Muslim business within North America going public with their feelings on the matter as a way of taking a stand against it. As mentioned before, it's not the personal feelings of individuals that is the issue here (even though that in itself is terrible). It's the fact that they went public specifically in order to take a public stand against gay marriage. This was absolutely a socio-political move; if it wasn't, he wouldn't have gone public with it. And now bigoted republicans are complaining about liberals making the same move in protest?? Wtf? I could face-palm all day about this one! :lol:

    What organizatons are refering to ? And furthermore you need to read the constitution. And I can think of several organizations that people like George Soros gives to and all they do is traffic in Hate speech.And you can start with media matters.

    I DO have all the facts (it's not exactly a complicated matter). And I am not going to chill, because I feel REALLY strongly about this issue, and I don't think it's an issue to chill out about, and I won't apologize for that. Being against gay marriage is hate. Again, Christians and others against gay marriage simply can't seem to wrap their brains around the fact that a stance against gay marriage is a profound statement of discrimination towards gays. It drives me nuts that they all try to downplay the gravity of that position.

    I mentioned the Family Research Council earlier which is the organization that I was referencing. And I have read the Constitution - where does it support hate speech? I am saying that his monetary support of the Family Research Council is equivalent to supporting/promoting hate speech.

    He didn't go public nor did he give some kind of press conference. This is what he said in an interview.

    On July 16, Dan Cathy, 59 years old, was asked in an interview by the Baptist Press, a news service of the Southern Baptist Convention, whether he opposed gay marriage. "We are very much supportive of the family—the biblical definition of the family unit," he said.     Had me some Chick-fil-A Today....It was packed...It was awesome!!!! just to see All the people that showed up in support of freedom of speech...... I pulled in on empty........Started praying that I would not run out of gas............ Thank You God! for not letting me run out of gas as I sat in that longgggg line! I swear I saw that gas needle go back up a hair or two......Amen!

    They are not supporting freedom of speech. They are against gay marriage and went because the president is as well. If the president had said he was for gay marriage those same people would be boycotting the place. :lol:
