well, I can't sponsor my husband of 20 years for a green card and citizenship. So he has to return to Canada once a year (rather expensive trip) to renew his T1 Visa. Which can be denied at any time. And if he should lose his job or get laid off or the firm he works for goes under, he has 8 days to leave the country. This is a HUGE problem for bi-national couples.

This has all been blown out of proportion and until someone shows that CFA discriminates against homosexuals, this is a non-issue.

This has nothing to do with anything we're talking about here, but, here goes...
A long time ago I was banging this gal. She was married and because of her Christian faith, believed that adultery only applied to vaginal intercourse. So, the other two inputs were fair game. I could still do oral sex on her, too... because that was somehow okay and not a clear violation of Adultery Commandment.
Anyway, she was pretty devoted to her religion and often told me she prayed for us. I felt bad for her husband, poor unsuspecting sot. Me? I really didn't care much because I was single and by her being married, she couldn't be too clingy to me. So, I didn't have the hassles of a girlfriend, but still had sex on a semi-regular basis.
Of course, we eventually split because we both knew it wasn't going to pan out. She was a bit sad that her religion didn't take root with me... me being a fornicating heathen and all. Don't get me wrong, she was very nice and I like her company and such... but, to me... that whole, 'As long as you don't bang my pussy, God's cool with it' thing never made much sense to me. Hope she is happy and well.
The only reason why I brought this up is because you reminded me of butt-f*cking her.

2. Any group that does not condone the gay life style is automatically added on their list has a hate group. For that reason The Southern Poverty Law Center really does not carry much weight. In fact many see THEM as a hate group.
Untrue. Only groups that intentionally spread misinformation are added to that list. The Southern Poverty Law Center is in no way opposed to the invigorating clash of ideas in the public forum.
3. Deporting Homosexuals or illegal immigrants?
The Family Research Counsel have supported laws to deport legal US immigrants and denying work visas to gay people. Which would include my husband. They have also supported the law in Uganda which would make being gay punishable by death.
4. Sodomy used to be illegal but in many states it has been become legal. So I do not see how he has change anything for the worst to affect your life.
"Sodomy" is legal in all 50 states thanks to the Supreme Court. Although Dan Cathy given millions to Focus on the Family that have tried to over-turn that decision. Focus on the Family also have opposed anti-bullying laws, were a major financial supporter of Proposition 8 that voted away my marriage AND believes that broadcasters shouldn't be allowed to have content that opposes "Christian Values." So much for "Free Speech."
Most of all, demoting my 20-year union with Carlo to nothing more than "Sodomy" is rude, cruel and obnoxious. A family isn't just for sex. It's for love and support and building and sharing a life and home together. I would think that someone who goes on about "God's Word" would know that.

well, I can't sponsor my husband of 20 years for a green card and citizenship. So he has to return to Canada once a year (rather expensive trip) to renew his T1 Visa. Which can be denied at any time. And if he should lose his job or get laid off or the firm he works for goes under, he has 8 days to leave the country. This is a HUGE problem for bi-national couples.
Do people that do not condone this gay life style have the same rights? Not everyone has the same morals and in America we are all free under the law to practice as we see fit and raise our children as we want. Why do the GLBT groups keep shoving there beliefs in my face, and my family’s face?
I don't recall voting on wether or how you can raise kids. Can you point me to a bill or a vote that would tell you how to raise your children? I can, however, point to many bills and votes and laws that tell me how I can live and if I can raise children... who's shoving what down who's throat again?
You ask if we all have the same rights? No. We don't. Your family has many rights and protections and responsibilities and perks that my family doesn't. And all I want is to be on the same legal ground as you.
(Gay isn't a "lifestyle." I am not a lifestyle, I'm a human and we're a family. There isn't gay lifestyle anymore than there is a straight lifestyle.)

Secondly, cosmo, are you serious? How dumb was that girl? In some twisted, weird, way, I could see how a non-married person might be able to convince themselves that getting plugged in the bum didn't count as "sex" in the Biblical sense (lol, is there another kind?), but a married woman? That is one unprecedented self-mindfuck job she did to line up a moral code that allowed her to do that stuff as a married woman and have it "not count" in the Biblical sense.

Scary part... she was smart and funny and attractive and very likable.
It was that really, really strange rationale or justification that oral and anal sex was not really sex sex... so it wasn't really adultery. Oh, and there was also the excuse that since I wasn't married, I wasn't cheating on anyone... therefore, not an adulterer, so she wasn't violating the adultery clause. Odd, isn't it?
