Most of the hard-core travelers are on a private Who list and don't even belong to The Who fan club and we still get the best seats. There are some very skilled travelers in this group that manage front rows at many shows. Its a lot of work though, and I hardly have the energy for it any more.

Seems reasonable to me or at least not any worse than any other show I've been to lately. I checked into the fan club but you can't sign up. Does anybody know if their club works the same way PJ's does? Meaning did I need to already be in the club to participate in the pre-sale on Friday?
After they made the web site free I didn't re-up my membership. I'm on the fence about doing it now. Even if I do, I don't think I'd buy my tickets through the presale. You can get seats just as good or better if you wait for ticket drops.
Since there isn't a show anywhere near me, I'm still trying to decide which one I'll go to. I doubt I'll have made up my mind by the time of the presale."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -

Yes.
For some reason Denver isn't on Ticketbastard yet, so I hope to find out if the fan club seats are worthwhile in the other cities first.

Thanks for the help. I've got an Amex so I might try that presale instead of the $50 for the fan club or just take my chances with general sale. As long as I'm there, it's all goodAre we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Be careful with the assumption about Amex. Typically, it is not ALL Amex cards that qualify. Not saying yours won't work, but there are limited Amex cards that these presales generally apply to. That's why they have you use your 800 number on the back of your card as the pass code. Each type of Amex card has its own customer service.
Just a heads up. Hopefully, you're good to go. Though quite frankly, as much as I love The Who and am excited for this show, I don't see them selling out most of the venues (at least right away). So, if your goal is to get inside, I think most folks will get a chance.
Good luck.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -

Again...Always a ray of sunshine. Where do you think the bulk of the "and other hits" will come from? It's Hard?
Love Who's Next. Clearly one of the all time albums. But, Quad is their masterpiece. I won't miss Love Ain't for Keeping instead of Sea and Sand or Punk and the Godfather.
Leave the "ordinary" album tours to the Steely Dans of the world.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -

^^^^
Let the games begin.
Whichever Who album is your fave, they RARELY play ANY songs from Quad, probably out of memory of the 1973 tour where so many things went wrong. I've seen The Who many times and am looking forward to hearing songs I'll probably never get to hear live again."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -

But this is the 3rd? time they are touring Quadrophenia? Right?
I have to say, I would rather just see a "Who Concert"..
Just me...And my humble opinion....Take me piece by piece.....

Who do they think they are, Pearl Jam?
I know right? Are you going to try for Tulsa? I will be since it's only a 4 hour drive.0 -
I have never seen The Who and I think it is about time that I do. The question now becomes, Barclays, Nassau, Prudential Center or MSG?
