Hmmmm, this tour starts down the road in Sunrise a couple days before RUSH in Tampa 11/3. Last saw them here in 2008 the last show on that tour in Hollywood, FL as Roger struggled with his voice from a very bad virus/cold. He made it through and finished up with one of my favs Emenince Front.

I just might check this one out as more and more bands continue to play albums in their entirety.

I hope PJ never does this

Edit: ever again after that Italy show in 2006 when they played "Pearl Jam" in its entirety

Well, I bit the bullet and bought Fan Club bundle tickets today for Louisville, just so I could have my decision on how and what to buy settled. I got tickets in the second-highest range ($95 each including fees), and am in Section 109, lower level at the far end of the arena. The best I could pull up in the top price ($140 including fees) was in Section 3 Row D, about 30 rows back on the floor, so I went with the slightly cheaper option.

For those curious, there were four price tiers, plus VIP packages. My guesses are $140 was the back half of the floor and both sides of the lower level; $95 was the far end of the lower level, and the sides of the upper level; the next one down (I think around $70 with fees) was at the far end of the upper level, and the lowest one I didn't try, but I'm guessing it was a few rows in the corners at the far end. I opted for the lower-level far-end tickets in my price instead of the side upper level seats based mostly on the anticipation of video elements, figuring I'd prefer the straight-on view (like I had for The Wall a few weeks ago). And I've seen the Who relatively close a few times (16th and 20th rows were my best, just buying straight purchased tickets), so I figured I'd scale my spending back this time.

There were several levels of VIP tickets, and I think even the worst of them guaranteed first 20 rows, so I'm guessing at regular prices, you're not getting anywhere near the stage without relying on "ins" at the venues or gambling with ticket drops as the shows approach. Such is the business these days.

I have a feeling tickets will be sold below face value closer to the time of the shows......they are being very ambitious in their choice of venues!

    Absolutely for the NY-NJ shows

I have found over the past few years that I save a ton of money by buying second hand tix

This is usually the case with large-markey shows.....I have learned that you can score cheap tickets for "buzz bands" playing in GA venues, bands that add second shows (the market value of the first show drops after the 2nd show is added) and many 80's/90's" acts/package tours that play in larger venues. Unless I am really set on going to certain shows, I try not to buy too many tickets in advance anymore.

Bon Iver is playing a few shows at the Beacon Theatre in September. I held off from buying the first show and now a few more were added. I can almost guarantee I will find tix for VERY cheap :D.

Welp I ended up getting tix for the MSG show. My mom is a diehard Who fan and while she also misses Moon and Entwhistle, still wants to relieve Quadrophenia.

Oops yes it is Radio City. I confuse those two often.

Go past all the VIP sections. Is ti saying no tix available or not letting you get through at all?

Says my promotional code isn't right. I just called them and the dude was super confusing in describing seat prices/locations. I've called AMEX and TM and both had trouble getting my code to work.

What code did you use? Inbox?

There's an Amex field you can use that doesn't need a code "American Express Cardmember Presale". If you have Gold or Platinum then you can use the "American Express Preferred Seating" field, the code is your customer service # on the back of your card

Haha thanks. I was only going for the $75 (after fees) tix anyway so I doubt it mattered much, if at all.

Yeah, don't think it did. BUT, definitely watch out for advance tickets on other concerts. Amex gets a lot of them. There should be an email list you can sign up for and if you're not on it, call that customer service number on the back of your card!
