    I think it may be a closer game than that but a France win wouldn't surprise me. If Andy Carroll starts we could be in trouble. The whole Rio thing is strange, he's better than other members of the team.

    As much as I enjoy the Premier League, I can't in my right mind ever support England at a national team level...
    The mentality and build-up of the whole nation prior to a major tournament is just not something I can stomach...
    Having said that, and although there are a couple of good Newcastle players in the France squad, I was never a fan of French footie...

    I fancy a draw....

    On second thoughts, maybe the prospect of England progressing to a stage where penalty shootouts are possible, sounds appealing....

    Disappointed for the lads last night - a decent result against Croatia was our only hope really, unless, by some fluke, we manage to hold off against Spain. We're not looking to win the thing, just do ourselves proud. I guess the Ireland - Spain match will be a very boring and defensive game to watch.

    The games this evening will be entertaining ;)

    Croatia was the better team on the night, but you were also very unlucky... A penalty denied by the ref and an own goal sums it all up. And Croatia's first goal was not too convincing either....
