    So my baby, love-of-my-life Gavin
    IMG_0065.jpg
has a lump removed from his back for testing today. The vet also gave me the option of waiting to see if it changed but I don't think I could have handled that, between the possibility that it could get worse if it was something and the probability that I would have been able to imagine changes and growth in my paranoid state.
Just picked him up from the vet and he's now curled up with his teddy sleeping it off,
bad news is we may have to wait up for a week for the test results to get back
Are hoping that it is just a cyst but really worried
Gavvy could really use everyones good thoughts... please! :D
Been there. Waiting for results just sucks.
Stay strong, Gavvy! Wishing you good health and many happy days.

Good vibes going your way, Gavvy!

Various unlost dogs have had lumps removed over the years _ the Late, Great Seamus had a lipoma years ago, and Sailor had four growth excisions in 2011, and Sweet Pea had one. Lipomas, epitheliomas, and I forget what else.

You are in our thoughts, Gavvy!

    YAY!
That's how I felt when our foster dog Happy Jack was adopted by a woman who kept him as an only dog. She was crazy about him and he was the center of attention, exactly what he needed.

the pooch has a benign cist located on her eyelid. thankfully it's not cancerous. but she has to have surgery to remove it in a couple weeks. the thing has been there for a while but grew quite a bit recently....then must have popped because it was a smaller and crustier when we went to the vet on saturday. vet says it's easier to remove when it's smaller so that is good.

she's also getting her teeth cleaned at the same time. ;)

Mr. Sailor Labrador had a 10 year / 10,000 mile checkup last March, and had his teeth cleaned (and five removed!) an eyelid growth removed, another growth removed from his front leg, and a lipoma from his side.

No complications from any of it. We'll wish you a similar experience!
