  • Scout got into the planters for the umpteenth time this morning. He managed to dig about half the soil (and plants) out of one. I had to go sweep it all up before I left for work. I hope my plants survive his puppyhood.:anguished:

    I would like to smooch Piper's snow-nose.
  • Had to give in and take him up to my room last night. Went to bed at 11.30pm and for the next two hours he whined, barked and scraped the kitchen door the whole time. We haven't closed the crate door yet but will clearly have to try that today. I doubt he'll be too pleased and then it'll no doubt get very tricky trying to get him to go into it at all. Aaargh!

it will take some time for him to adjust to it but he will. Perhaps when you leave him in and close the door, try giving him a bone or a chew toy. If you do have him in your room get a dog bed and train him to sleep in that, this will take time.

Yeah I had a hot water bottle, a teddy and a kong full of chicken in his crate last night! Have his own bed as well and he was happy to sleep in that in my room, so that wasn't a problem. He just really needs to get used to being on his own

You have to use either photobucket or imgur to post photo's. I don't like photobucket so I use imgur.

Photobucket stopped working for me so I use Imgur and it's much much easier.

I hope the fostering is going better, Jenny.

Lucky for him he is very cute  I've just given in to letting him sleep in my room for now, I think I remember doing that with another foster dog and then when they were with us a while they settled and were happy to stay in the kitchen at night. My mum was going to try leaving the house today (he's been holding her prisoner) so will let you know how that goes!

    Cute! Love the big smile.
I looked at Christmas sweaters at Petsmart the other day but I have a feeling neither of my dogs would wear one.

I think I love them even more when they get really old.
We had a dog that was born deaf and had very poor eyesight. Still the happiest little do I ever met.
