Her Majesty (Beatles) -- in the main set
Sean Penn (original - with Emile sitting next to Ed but not singing) -- 1st encore i believe
Lucifer's ...Lament, or something, started with "Lucifer". the "Barry White" swinger loop music with a skit of George W. giving the Devil a blow job to completion behind the amps.

What just happened? My head is spinning! That was easily the best show of the tour, if not ever...

i thought that all the Cat Stevens were especially fantastic tonight... the first part of the last verse of Sing Out he sounded almost exactly like the original song... he was really "doing" Cat Stevens for a few moments. fucking amazing.

yes, his voice sounded so awesome and smooth in those CS songs...BTW, not to be rude or anything, but either you have the dates wrong on your signature or you know something we don't know about what's to come in July! : ) with love....

ok, I am awake...the show is still swimming around in my head. cant gather my thoughts as i am dead tired and now i have to shower, pack, and get on a flight back home.

some thoughts from SD2:

It was obvious that this being an added show, that most people there were not 10C members. We all know how to act and behave and not to do the "Eddie" chant. That was occurring a lot durring the encore breaks.

Ed tried to address the shouting/interupting thing very early into the show, I believe after the 1st or 2nd song. He addressed it a few more times during the show and tried to use humor but he was very clear....that maybe the people around you sitting there dont want to hear you yell as they came to hear Ed etc and not you. He mentioned at one point very early that it is his microphone and he had earned the chance to be up there to use it so we could hear him, not the crowd shouting etc. He was very professional and humble with his requests for people not to scream etc.

Right before No More, he started on an acoustic guitar, Believe You Me. I couldnt believe it (pun intended). I heard the 1st 2 notes and knew what it was right away, but I stayed quiet as if I was afraid to say anything, I might jinx it and he would stop playing it. It was amazing to hear it acoustically, even if it was only a few verses of the song. A Bad Radio song back in San Diego, how cool!

The Barry White thing was very funny and clever. When he first started playing it, I was scared it would be a repeat of last night's rendition but it wasn't. It was Ed speaking as Lucifer, talking to GW Bush and it was hilarious. He had someone come out on stage in a GW mask and Ed was speaking to him as if Ed himself was the devil. At the end, with GW heading off the stage, he said "and send John McCain down" or something like that, which got a huge chuckle from the crowd.

I am so lucky to get to go to these shows. My seats for last night were 3 rows from the back in the balcony and it was very compact in the row arrangements, but I was there and I am very blessed. Ed seems to be at a happy place right now and it showed the last 2 nights.

A big thanks to those who held the 2 fundraisers and for all their time and efforts. It was great having a place to hang and drink/eat before the 2 shows. I met a lot of great PJ fans from across the country.

No zippo lighters for those who asked me to get them. They went like hotcakes! Sorry!!

Did you not look any other setlists? You should have realized that the setlists have been nearly the same every night except a song or two.
