Britney Spears. Known to lip synch when she dances and finds it too difficult to do both together. Eddie slagged her off when he was here last year. :D

Well, she's the worst. She cannot sing that's why  A friend of mine loves her, and has seen her a couple times, and says Britney is so bad, that even she won't go to any more of her shows.

:o WOW! That was their last tour right?

Yeah. Didn't realize that till I looked up the year of the tour. All I remember is Michael slaying the big robot dragon and just how heavy the bass was on the field.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

My first show was at Finsbury Park, London in 1993. Technically the first band I saw live was 4 Non Blondes as they were the opening act...

Fortunately the day got a lot better:

    4 Non Blondes
    Teenage Fanclub
    James
    Pearl Jam
Neil Young with Booker T & The MGs

    :D

Mine was Pixies, Portsmouth Guildhall, UK, October 1991 aged 16. Blew my mind!
    Wow Portsmouth Guildhall!

I saw Yes, Groundhogs and Lynyrd Skynyrd there but that was the 70s.

I think my first was Wishbone Ash at Southampton Guildhall in 72.

Yes lovely old venue, I saw James and the Chemical Bros there if my memory serves men right. I was on stage myself at Southampton Guildhall though, playing the trumpet aged 14!!

I saw Neil on that tour, backed by Booker T, supported by 4 Non Blondes and Teenage Fanclub, on 12th July '93 at Glasgow SECC, great gig but mightily pissed off because PJ supported on the 10th and the 11th . Why not the 12th???? Well??? This has annoyed me for years  , I really should let it go at this stage I suppose.

My first concert is probably a little predictable for this site...

Pearl Jam w/ Ben Harper, and the Fastbacks - Randall's Island in NYC, 9/28/96 in the pouring rain and of course the John Popper Even Flow harmonica solo. I was saddened that they played an hour longer the next night, and vowed from that day not to miss the second night of a concert run, which obsessively lead me to see every show they've played at Madison Square Garden, plus another 10 shows in addition to the 9 already mentioned. Or long story short, 9/28/96 also happened to be the night when Pearl Jam became my undisputed favorite band and I haven't looked back since (I had been a fan going back to the early 90s, but always lumped them with Nirvana as my favorite bands until this night).
