We had absolutely no idea who Bon Jovi were but I remember thinking they were great, I saw them 6 times or so between that '84 gig and 1990 and they were really good live, much, much better than on record, I've no idea what they're like now and have no inclination to find out .
I remember Kiss being so fecking loud to our virgin ears that they were 4 songs in before we even started recognising what they were playing, and we were massive Kiss fans at the time, they put on a fantastic show.
With my Dad some Air Supply and Four Freshmen or Frankie and the Four Seaons. Unfortunately I can't confirm this info.
With my older sister, Duran Duran. Reflex flex flex flex flex flex!
Live Aid.
On my own was Monster of Rock in Philly. I had never heard of Metallica before this and the place went nuts when they came on. I was like who the fuck is this? In a good way.
Alright, alright, alright!

It was a whole day concert in 95. I was 13.... On the bill was Weeping Tile, Big Sugar, Blue Rodeo and Great Big Sea. Great show. Pretty sure it was my first one anyway. Unless i count Fred Penner when I was like 5 lol
My first concert was a small music festival near where we lived. My dad took me there, I think I was 11 years old. It was called "Woodstock" for some weird reason, but the bands that played were really lame and so was the crowd.
My first REAL concert was probably either HIM or The 69 Eyes... or some other Finnish band that was big when I was a teenager. I also saw many local bands at clubs, but I can't remember any names. I've lost too many brain cells to remember.
I'm still out here waiting

Huey Lewis and the News- Red Rocks, Colorado, 1986 I think. My dad took me.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."
My dad took me to my first concert, December 9, 2008. It was The End's Deck the Hall Ball festival which had the bands;
Aqueduct
Shiny Toy Guns
Cold War Kids
Death Cab for Cutie
The Killers
At the time The Killers were my favorite band and they are actually my second favorite band today. It was a great first concert, Cold War Kids were amazing and The Killers well killed it (Sorry for the pun) DCFC were disappointing however.
Tres Mts- 3/16/2011

RNDM- 11/27/12
PEARL JAM- 12/6/13 I have finally seen Pearl Jam live!

In grade school a friend's father took us to see Donny Osmond at DuQuoin State Fairgrounds (Illinois). For many years I believed it was me to whom he was throwing his purple beret, although I did not catch it. This was many decades ago when he was a teeny bopper.
In high school a friend's older sister took us to see ELO and Journey at Murray State University (Kentucky). Loved that show. Also saw Boston at Southern Illinois University when I was in high school- another great show.
But the highlight of my young concert going life was seeing Springsteen at SIU in '78 and '79 - almost a religious experience - like PJ now.

Officially -- RAIN, a Beatles Tribute band in the early 80s. But that was with parental supervision.
Few months later:
OZZY OSBOURNE, 1982, after Randy had died, Oakland Arena with Brad Gillis of Night Ranger shredding. So yeah, it was basically the Speak of the Devil tour. Lots o sabbath.
saw them around that same time....tix were $2.50....still one of the top 10 shows I have EVER seen

Nope, just Dave... turned out to be a pretty long "phase" though . Comfortably Numb played right before my 16th birthday rolled in at Midnight.
