    So it looks the Flyers are looking to trade JVR to Toronto for Luke Schenn.

    i hope this is not true, while i am disappointed in JVR this season i don't think Schenn helps us right now.

    what are they saying in Philly about this. i just get the news from Toronto

    straight up? that would make no sense to me. while JVR isn't playing as well as we would all like, he is still out pointing luke at close to a 2-1 clip. so unless you think a schenn pairing is going to fire up both brothers....i'd pass

    but if it came to that, they would trade him, and if they couldn't they would either loan him over seas or waive him and send his contract to the minors where it won't count agaist the cap.

    thats is what I am hearing right now. that it would be straight up but details are very limited here. i agree that it doesn't make sense either. I think Braydon is starting to play better right now.

    We don't hear the trade rumors as much down here. Doesn't sound very promising to me - JVR is a future superstar.

    i was on that bandwagon before the season....but i don't see superstar...i see quality forward. i wish i saw power forward but he doesn't seem to have that mean streak that is needed.

    Couts could be the superstar in the making. he is clearly a two way player. good solid defender...and now is offense is starting to show up...and he's not afraid to stand up vs the other team in net mouth scrum. ottawa annoucers were raving about him, as they should be.

    the carter trade is going to go down as one of the best ever for the flyers.

    it's funny ... i'm not sure i would do that deal for the leafs ... both kids are young and still have upside and it's always hard comparing players who play different positions ... i do think tho that the D position is premium ... that is why Burke has stockpiled D men since he got here ...

    right now i wouldn't do the deal because we have a guy doing the same thing for us already ...
