3rd?!!! Hmm I'll take that with a pinch of salt, especially if it were to be there only UK show. I bloody hope it's not true anyway. My PJ shows:
London 28/10/96, Las Vegas 11/7/98, London 29/5/00, Nurnburg 11/6/00, Prague 14/6/00, Salzburg 18/6/00, Verona 20/6/00, Milan 22/6/00, Zurich 23/6/00, New York 8-9/7/03, Boston 11/7/03, Reading Festival 27/8/06, Shepards Bush 11/8/09, Berlin 15/8/09, Manchester 17/8/09, London 18/8/09, Dublin 22/6/10, Belfast 23/6/10, London (HRC) 25/6/10, Alpine Valley (PJ20) 3-4/9/11, Manchester 20-21/6/12, Leeds 8/7/14, Milton Keynes 11/7/14 To be continued....0 -

Rumour was Sabbath were going to be supported by Tool, and SG would slot in under them. That would be a pretty epic bill, if SG hadn't gone away they'd be 2nd for sure. I'd like to see them do their own shows, but think it'll be later in the year/next year before we see that. The festivals are good paydays for them too, with minimal work as they don't need to worry about bringing so much gear with them. The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits0 -

Still don't see it and below Tool (who I love), surely SG are big enough to be at least 2nd on the bill, say below Metallica. If they were to play 3rd it'd hardly be a big come back now would it! Also with PJ's commitments I'm not sure if they have the luxury of a small tour followed by a bigger one later in the year. For me this is Europe's go this summer. My money would be on a headlining UK show of some sort.My PJ shows:

An arena show? That's good for those of us that are hoping they doing a club show in England.Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022

Between Germany (June 1st) and Italy (June 4th) there's plenty of time for a Greek show.Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / New Orleans 20250

Their own arena show? This is indeed a great sign!! You've got to assume they'll book more around Europe.0

It's not a proper arena, it's a place that usually hosts festivals.
It seems Soundgarden will have some opening bands, because the show is set to begin at 3 p.m.
I think it will be something like the mini-festival PJ did in Nijmegen.Roma

I think the rumour of it being Black Sabbath, Tool and Soundgarden at Download sounds very feasible.Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022

I really hope they do their own show in the UK...As I'm having to spend quite a abit to go to Manchester to see PJ I really can't afford £150 + to see them at Download!0

They would setup on the stage at the allotted time and then play. Simple really!Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022

I really don't, Tool aren't any bigger in the UK than Soundgarden. If it turns out to be true that will be one hell of a festival line up, not just that day but they'll have to be some pretty heavyweight bands on the other days playing 2nd & 3rd. I just don't see them taking up an offer of 3rd at download, for what an hour set? I defo don't buy it'll be their only UK show.My PJ shows:

I agree, last year's 3rd from top bands were Alter Bridge, Skunk Anansie and Disturbed, I'd say Soundgarden are bigger than those bands. Faith No More headlined the thing back in 2009, I'd be surprised if they had sold any more records than Soundgarden over here.0 -

Exactly! They headlined Reading back in 95, okay they've been away for a long time, but that seems to only make bands bigger and similar to what Faith No
More did.My PJ shows:

Does anyone else think it seems strange that they've announced the dates one by one so far?!0

Most of them are festivals, so they can't announce until the festivals are ready to do so.0
